Expresses: Who we are Who we are associated with What we are talking about today
It’s the first tier, the Bachelor’s degree if you will. At latest count, there were 150,000 LEED Professionals. That’s a remarkable number. It’s more or less required if you want to make headway in the sustainable building space.
Many of these reasons overlap. To build trust: Companies hire you on experience but also trust because they don’t know how to do it themselves. Also to know you’re committed. To build your personal brand/market yourself.
To achieve credits: LEED 2012 can possibly get two credits for having LEED Green Associates on the project. To have a green project in your portfolio and build your business.
To build knowledge: Once you get a job, project, etc, you need to know what to do. The information you need to know starts to prepare you for this. Once you pass the exam, you will be required to take courses to maintain your credential. Again this is all focused on continuing education.
