1. How to Motivate Yourself: 5 Tips for Self Improvement
A new week always means new goals and new challenges. It is not easy to find motivation each
Monday and we all have those days when we don't feel the best in our own skin. But don't worry, we
are all in the same situation. And it is important to remember - that is completely normal!
This is where we come into the picture. We have written a small motivation article to help you find
your best self when you feel down. When you’re feeling unmotivated, try one of these strategies to get
yourself back on track toward your goal.
1. Start small
Getting started is often the hardest part on low-motivation days, and starting is much easier when the
task is small: make a calendar, workout, or anything that helps you start your day in a good mood.
These seemingly small actions can set your mind in the right way for the followthrough - a productive
day ahead!
2. Plan for unplanned
Sometimes unplanned things will happen, especially those ones that don't depend on you. Well, at
least immediately. Not everything will go exactly as planned, and that’s okay. Life happens. But what
you can do, you can try and prepare for the worst. Once you have the list of possible obstacles that
could happen, make a plan for how to handle them.
How can you plan ahead for when your internet goes out? How will you react if you have urgent tasks
and deadlines at work that you didn't plan for?
3. Track your progress
There is no better feeling than knowing you are doing it right! It is very important to track your
progress, even if it is the smallest one. This can keep you highly motivated to strive for more and more
You’ll find many tools out there to help you track your goals. This could be as simple as a to-do list or
calendar where you can cross off tasks or days as you complete them.
4. Reward yourself for the little wins
It feels good to be rewarded for our work. But rewards can also improve motivation and performance.
Rewarding yourself for reaching small milestones and completing big goals could boost your interest
and enjoyment in the work you’re doing.
These rewards don't have to be anything complicated, but a boost to everything that comes next. You
can take a short break, go outside for a walk, have a coffee on the terrace, or have a long bath.
5. Be grateful
No matter what, be always grateful for everything that you have and for all the opportunities you have
been given. Feelings of gratitude can lead to self-improvement, growth, and appreciation.
Spend the first five minutes after you wake up going through all the things you feel grateful for.
Better yet, write them down in a gratitude journal. Is there someone in your life you’re particularly
grateful for?
