Importance of educational research
 Educational research is important because of contributing knowledge
development, practical improvement, and policy information.
 Educators can use those research findings to improve their competences and
teaching and learning process
 Academic rewards
 Improving practices
 Facilitate learning process
 Verify previous finding
Academic rewards
 Educational research was important for most of social sciences degrees
program.
 Without conducting a research the students don’t awarded the degrees.
 The aims of this research is to develop the qualities of researchers in the
students
 this will be the fist step for improving there practices regarding research.
 It is crucial for students to know that their topic of research will also reflect
on their resume.
Improving practices
 Educational research can suggest ways of improving practices that have been
verified with many applications and by many different types of people.
 It may give the competences to educators to find new instructional methods
and techniques
 Its identify the barriers and then choose a proper solution for removing these
barriers.
Facilitate learning process
 Educational research can play a vital role in facilitating teaching and learning
process
 It can add to what we know about how people learn and what we can do help
to facilitate the learning process
 It enables individual to easily achieve there learning goals
Verify previous finding
 Educational research can act as a test to verify previous finding.
 it keep moving forward for verification of the existing research findings and
makes these findings modified and make them contextual for different
situations.
 The theoretical framework helps to find out some specific areas from the
generals and break down the theories in many different parts
Research problem
 A problem is actually the gape between our desires and the current situation
 “A problem represents the information’s acquired by a researcher and seeks
solution for it”. John Dewey
 “A problem is a situation for which we have no ready made solution” R.S
Woodworth
 A research problem is a definite or clear expression about an area of
concern, a condition to be improved upon, a difficulty to be eliminated, or a
troubling question that exists in scholarly literature, in theory, or within
existing practice that points to a need for meaningful understanding and
investigation
Good Characteristic of a research problem
 A good research problem begins by introducing the broad area in which your
research is centered, gradually leading the reader to the more specific issues
you are investigating.
 The statement need not be lengthy, but a good research problem should
incorporate the following
 Beneficial for society
 Compelling Topic
 Supports Multiple Perspectives
 Generates research Question
 Achievable within the timeframe and budget
 Grounded in theory
Beneficial for society
 The research problem was considered good when it reflect the benefits for
society and their audience
 the researcher are the product of his society so they have the duty to give
ease to there society by conducting research which investigates the problems
of society.
Convincing Topic
 The problem that you choose to explore must be important to you, your
readers, and to the larger academic and social community that could be
impacted by the results of your study.
 The problem chosen must be one that motivates you to address it.
Supports Multiple Perspectives
 The research problem must be Support multiple perspectives
 It’s investigates different parts of an situations
 Its describe the problem from different angles and views
Generates research Question
 The problems should generates a number of more specific reseach question
 This turns the problem into a question format and presents various aspects or
components of the problem.
Achievable within the timeframe and
budget
 The problem should be feasible within the resources of a researcher
 The problem have the quality to be solved in the specific time frame not too
long to not be solved in the specified time and budgets.
Grounded in theory
 Good problem have theoretical and conceptual framework for their analysis
 these problem have relation to a theory from which we make a background
for our specific area
 Theoretical framework helps the researcher to breakdown the main research
question into simpler questions or sub-problems.

Academic rewards  Educational research was important for most of social sciences degrees program.  Without conducting a research the students don’t awarded the degrees.  The aims of this research is to develop the qualities of researchers in the students  this will be the fist step for improving there practices regarding research.  It is crucial for students to know that their topic of research will also reflect on their resume.
