1. Manali – Leh - Motor bike Tour

3. Welcome to the expedition:
Motor biking amongst the majestic
background of the Trans Himalayan ranges is
an unforgettable and thrilling experience. This
11 days mountain biking tour involves crossing
over five high mountain passes up to a height
of 5300 meters.

4. The entire of 475 km between Manali & Leh
offers a challenge to bikers who have the
opportunity to cut across the majestic
Himalayan ranges through 5 mountain
passes. High Altitude Tours are about traveling
to the Himalayas which are the highest
mountains in the World and one can expect all
type of weather conditions on a tour of this
type.

5. Day wise Description:
Day 01: Arrival Delhi / Manali (560
kms/ overnight Volvo)
Board overnight Volvo (Semi Sleeper) bus to
Manali. Overnight in bus

6. Day 02: Arrival Manali. Introduction
with bikes and test ride around
Manali.
Meet on arrival at Manali Bus station and
transfer to your hotel. Check in at hotel. Later
in afternoon get familiar with your bike and
have a test ride and get ready for a 8 days
challenging expedition. Evening get to gather
and a short lecture about the tour later dinner
and overnight at hotel

7. Day 03: Manali/ Rohtang Pass/
Keylong (115 kms)
After an early breakfast at hotel drive your
bikes to Keylong crossing over Rohtang Pass
(3980 mt) and passing through some very
beautiful villages of Lahul Valley like Kokshar,
Sissu, Gondhala and Tandi. On arrival check in
at hotel rest of the day free to stroll around
the small town. Dinner & overnight at hotel

8. Day 04: Keylong/ Baralacha Pass/
Sarchu (107 kms)
Breakfast at hotel and on your bikes to Darcha
enroute passing Gemour and Jispa villages.
Darcha is a small village situated in the base of
Baralacha la pass (4850) . After a short
formality of registration (your self & bikes) on
your bikes through several curves on to Sarchu
(4200 mt) over Baralacha la pass. On arrival
check in at camp. Day free to explore
surrounding. Overnight at hotel

9. Day 05: Sarchu/ Leh (263 kms/ 10 hrs)
Today is a long and hectic day of your journey
as you would be crossing 3 high mountain
passes (Nakila (4900 mt) Lachlungla (5000 mt)
and the Tanglang la (5300 Mt). Start early in
morning (06 AM) and on your motor bikes to
Leh traveling through one of the most
spectacular & picturesque landscapes in The
World

10. Day 06: Leh
Today after breakfast at your hotel ride to
Khardongla pass (5600 m), which is the
highest motorable pass in the world at 5600 m
and has been recorded in the Guiness Book of
World Records. Later ride back to Leh. Evening
visit the Leh Palace & Shanti stupa Rest of the
day free to explore Leh town. Overnight at
hotel

11. Day 07: Leh Pangong (160 kms/ 8-9
hrs)
After Breakfast on your bikes to Pangong Lake
(14,500 ft), through Changla Pass 17,350 ft., it
is the third highest motorable road in the
world. Arrive Pangong, which is the highest
salt water Lake in the World, shared by two
countries India & China. Enjoy the beauty of
the lake. Overnight in camp.

12. Day 08: Pangong / Leh (160 kms/ 8-9
hrs)
Morning walk around the lake and later drive
back to Leh. Dinner and overnight at hotel

13. Day 09: Leh / Tsokhar (140 kms/ 6
hrs)
After breakfast at hotel on your bikes to
Tsokhar. On arrival check in at camps. Rest of
the day free to explore surrounding and walk
around the lake. Overnight in camp

14. Day 10: Tsokhar/ Jispa (210 kms/ 10
hrs)
After an early breakfast at camp on your bikes
and ride down to Jispa enroute passing Sarchu
and crossing Baralacha la. On arrival check in
at guest house/ camp. Dinner and overnight

15. Day 11: Jispa/ Manali (135 kms/ 8 hrs)
After breakfast on to Manali. arrival Manali by
late evening. Check in at hotel. Surrender your
bikes

16. Day 12: Departure Manali
Morning at leisure. Later in time check out
from hotel and departure Manali.

17. IMPORTANT OPERATIONAL POINTS:
We shall not be responsible for the delays or
alterations in the program or expenses incurred
due to rain, landslides, flood, conflict, internal
flight delay or cancellations, strikes, sickness,
weather, war, vehicle problems, political closures
and disputes. Any alterations in programs and
any extra expenses thus incurred due to any
reason beyond our control has to be settled
directly if such charges come up to make
necessary amendments and arrangements for a
safe passage.

18. • Motor Biking is an adventure activity and the
rates do not cover any insurance, risk cover,
damages, claims etc. We would not be liable in
any case for any mishap/ loss etc.
• Your participation in a trip is entirely at your own
risk. We are NOT responsible or liable for any
injuries you may suffer, fatal or otherwise. Also,
we are NOT responsible for any loss or damage to
your property, including motorcycle, irrespective
of how any damage may have been caused.
• We will provide 350 cc Enfield as per itinerary
(without Fuel).

19. • This tour has to be confirmed at least 60 days
before arrival date and a minimum 25% non-
refundable deposit would be required
• Mechanic would carry basic spares for the
bikes. Any wear & tear or damage to bike or
maintenance spares required have to be paid
in actual (extra) to the mechanic by the riders
• At the start of the tour, a refundable security/
damage deposit of Rs 20000/- per rider would
have to be made to M B T (My Bike Tours).

20. • Damage of the bikes of any kind due to any
accident/ fall or any other reason etc. during the
tour would have to be paid by the rider as per
actual cost occurred for the damage.
• Bike rider need to have a valid International (for
foreigners)/ National (for Indians) Driving License
which should cover driving a Two Wheeler
• Riders would have to get own knee guard/ elbow
guards/ shoes/ biking trousers & jackets. Wearing
a helmet is mandatory
• For Foreign tourist an inner line permit is
required. The permit would be processed by us
on behalf of rider

21. • Pillion rider cost does not include any
transport in jeep/ car and would have to ride
the motorcycle only with his/ her companion
and includes only the accommodation on twin
sharing as per plan
• If any rider decides or happens to leave the
tour in the middle, he/she has to pay the
additional charges to get the bike back to
Manali (i.e. Rs. 10,000/- per bike). Bike has to
be ridden to Manali and will not be put in a
truck or jeep as it damages the bike badly.

22. • The Motor Bikers Association in Leh, does not allow
non-local rented bikes to ply in Leh, hence we will
park our bikes in the hotel and hire bikes from the
association. Similarly the back up jeep is also not
allowed to ply in Leh, so we will not have a back up
jeep to Khardung la and to Pangong Lake and back.
However the mechanic will pillion the Marshal with
limited tools and spares to these places. The
Association also has limited Bikes and if we do not
get the bikes, the Pangong Trip will be conducted in a
jeep only if bikes could not be arranged by any
means.

23. Our “Fixed Departures” will be operated only if
we meet the requisite group size of minimum
four riders. If we do not get minimum booking,
we will cancel the departure and either we will
postpone the confirmed riders to the next
departure date (if they can afford time flexibility)
or we simply refund the booking amount.
We request you to come properly equipped with
appropriate clothing/ medicine and if possible to
get properly checked by a Qualified Physician
before coming on a High Altitude Motor bike tour
