It includes natural calamities (flood & landslides, drought, earthquake), blockade , war etc. These causes environment imbalance which decrease the food production which eventually causes food emergency.   8. FOOD CRISIS During emergency it is obvious that there is loss of food. The extreme loss of food results in food crisis and thereby worsening the scenario. The major factor responsible for food crisis includes inflation, crop failure, population imbalance, or government policies. Food crisis has very bad impact.   9. FOOD CRISIS To overcome the problems of food crisis government plays an important role. Food are imported from different countries in the form of aid. Example of earthquake A study according to Food And Agricultural Organization (FAO) said that about 1.12 million acres of cultivable land were destroyed in 2013 and that year about 4800 tones of cereals were imported. The major work done by them in this condition are by the development of instant, RTS food. These food not only suitable for consumption but also provides the required doze of calories & can be easily transported too. FOOD, FOOD TECHNOLOGY & EMERGENCY Conclusion During disaster there is high chances of infection due to food and waterborne diseases, lack of hygienic food, etc. But all these problems can be reduced with the help of biotechnologically processed food and processed water which eventually lowers the health hazard and thereby lowers economic expenses of government in heath, medicine sector . Another thing is that government should send food technologist along with food aid so that they could preserve food for long time and hence they helps in preventing malnutrition i.e. uplift the development of country.
