  8. Introduce your child to The HOUSEHOLD If children know what happens in a house they become aware of their environment. They can start to save energy and as a result save money in the house. Use the cross section to list the bills and come up with some energy saving ideas. A great interactive activity for you and share with your child(ren)

  10. Making older children Independent  Gradually expand older children’s pocket money or introduce it; there is a reason and a purpose. They can learn to budget for their toiletries, clothing, sports and social activities.  Work out what you spend on your child in one of these areas in a year, divide by 12 and give this to them as a monthly allowance, add a little bit extra for savings and sweets. Monitor the change in how they spend their own money  When they’re confident in one area, add another and so on until they’re managing all their personal spending. The Question is… Are you ready to let go?

Confidence & Tools Provide your child with enough support to be confident. Introduce them to banking and the cash machine from a young age and allow them to budget.
