IEEE je največja tehnična strokovna organizacija na svetu,
ki skrbi za spodbujanje tehnoloških inovacij in odličnosti v
korist človeštva. Razdeljena je na regije, sekcije in 39
strokovnih društev.
Slovenska sekcija IEEE
Slovenska sekcija IEEE ima 300 članov. Ustanovili smo
strokovne odbore s področja močnostne elektrotehnike,
komunikacij, računalništva, obdelave signalov, vezij in
sistemov, industrijske elektronike in aplikacij, daljinskega
zaznavanja, računske inteligence in izobraževanja. Imamo
tri afinitetne skupine: mlade profesionalce, inženirke in
življenjske člane. Študentski člani so vključeni v
Ljubljansko ali Mariborsko vejo (Student branch).
Vsako leto organiziramo Mednarodno Elektrotehniško in
računalniško konferenco ERK in tekmovanje študentskih
prispevkov.
