1) OMG! TYPE!
2) What’s coming…

3. Let’s talk type
I gave you a little type preview
last week, but is there anything
that comes to mind, question-
wise, as you consider the readings
and what we discussed last week?
4. Type Task
Today we’re going to do a couple of things with
type. The first is very simple. I want you to take
the text of your favorite one sentence (or so)
quote. Then I want you to select a proper font
to display it in (or a pair of fonts) and do the
most creative thing you can with it given that
you’re going to get about 25 minutes to work.
If you took 224, this might feel very familiar. :)
5. Type Task 2
In addition to thinking about how type feels on
its own, one of the things you learned about in
your readings, and something you will need to
keep in mind as you work, is that fonts need to
compliment logos. So with your team, I want
you to look at the logo on the next slide and
choose your font– or two fonts– to replace the
existing text.
