2. This is our protagonist’s first costume. This is the costume that our
protagonist wears when her friends are drowning. We chose a
theme of dark colours, like this black to connote an evil and
sinister atmosphere. As well as this, the colour black is opposite to
white and white connotes purity. This creates a representation
that our protagonist is poisoned by her deadly conscious.
This is our protagonists second costume. She is in her pyjamas
as she wakes up from her dream about her friends drowning.
This is our protagonists third costume. She is in her school
uniform as this makes it relatable for our target audience of
15-24 as some will still be at school/college. It also
incorporates the gratification of personal identity.
3. This is Ganesh’s costume. We have chosen for our drowning
characters to wear dark colours as this connotes that there is no
hope for them as they slowly die in the water.
This is Niamh’s costume. We have stuck to the dark colours with
this costume as well to connote the lack of hope and that there is
no life left for these characters.
This is Ines’ costume. She will also be wearing lightweight, dark
clothes which have the same connotations as the others.
For safety reasons we have asked them to wear lightweight clothes
that are easy to swim in and that will not drag them down.
4. We will be using a rope in our opening sequence
when our protagonist glances over at it in the
woods scene. The rope has connotations of
entrapment, our protagonist is trapped in her
mental illness and this affects her life greatly.
