Name of observer: Indie Wells
Name of performer being observed: Alfie Damps
Workshop/Rehearsal: Staging + Choreography of Hamilton
The observer must make comments on each of the following:
1. Professional Attitude
Comments
Punctuality & Attendance Alfie is very punctual and always on
time. He’s always ready to get started.
Readiness to Work Alfie has a readiness to work every
rehearsal, and is always up and willing
to complete rehearsals.
Communication with other company
members during the rehearsal
Alfie could work on his communication
with others as he sometimes is quite
quiet during rehearsals. To improve this
he could ask more questions about how
he could improve.
Focus and attitude during the rehearsal He has a positive attitude to improve his
performance. He may lose focus a little
bit sometimes, but overall is determined
in rehearsal.
Ability to take on board feedback from
other company members and use it to
improve own work
Alfie will always take feedback and
make improvements towards his work.

2. Conduct during rehearsals - Did this person behave in a positive and
focused way during rehearsals? Assess their contribution to the
success of the rehearsal. Please be as specific as possible
When we were rehearsing our piece Alfie was always positive in rehearsals. He
might have lost focus sometimes through rehearsals, and didn’t seem to ask many
questions concerning how he could improve, but always tried to make amendments
to his performance when given feedback from others.
3. Performer response - will you make any changes to your working
practises following this observation? Be specific
Looking at this observation, I will make changes to my rehearsal time by making sure
to ask questions as to where I can improve my performance. I will also try to stay
focused in every rehearsal time so that I am able to fully improve in order to perform
to my best ability.
