Lesson 2: We Have Faith in
God

Getting Ready!
We learn about God from our family or from other older people. They
tell us to always have faith in God and to show this faith n our daily
activities. We learn to have faith in God because we know that God is
there for us whenever we need him. We also know that God gives us
things we need when we ask for them. He sometimes even gives us
what we need when we do not ask for them. All that we can to do
show our thanks is by having faith in him. We can show our faith by
praying, being kind, and obeying our parents.

Faith in God means depending on him and trusting in his
actions, because we understand that he is greater than all of us
combined and that he loves us very much.
Faith is accepting that we do not know everything and that there
are things we have little or no understanding of. This acceptance
allows us to trust in God and those things that are beyond
ourselves. In times of trouble, faith in God gives us hope. We are
sure that he will help us survive and make things better. Our
faith makes us confident that God’s help an grace will come,
surer than we know that the sun will rise in the morning.

Faith in God is trusting his powers and following his
commandments. With our faith, we work hard and do our part as
he gives us the freedom to make our own choices in life and know
that he will still be there when we make mistakes. There may be
times that our prayers are not answered. There may be moments
when we fee that God is not listinging to us. However, this is just a
test of faith. Sometimes, we cannot have what we want, but we
should not lose hope for God has a better plan for us. We just have
to keep our faith in him.
