Lesson 3 we respect the beliefs of others

  1. 1. We Respect the Beliefs of Others
  2. 2. Respect for the beliefs of others means accepting that others have different beliefs from us and letting them express these beliefs freely. GETTING READY! We believe in God and we want other people to respect that belief. In the same, other people also expect us to respect their own beliefs. By showing respect to each other’s beliefs, we show that we care about our fellow men value as a person. We can show respect to the beliefs and religions of others by not laughing at the way they pray, not saying bad things about their beliefs, and not forcing them to copy what our religion tells us to do.
  3. 3. LEARNING WHAT IS GOOD! Respecting each other allows us to live happily and peacefully in a world full of people with different religions, belief, and values. To give or show respect is easy to do. All we have to do is to treat people the way we like them to treat us. Respect is a give-and-take cycle that people should do as children of God.We should never ask for something we cannot give because it is not fair to everyone and it is selfish act. If we want respect from others, we must be willing to respect others, too. Trivia Muslims all over the world – including the Muslims in the Philippines celebrate Eid al-Fitr every year. It is the Muslim festival marking the end of the month-long fast of Ramadan. Eid al-Fitr is also celebration of the unity of the Muslim community
