pleasure of working with, managing and viewing Al Kucera’s professional development over the
past 17 years. I can state with confidence that he is a motivated and responsible person with a
high degree of integrity. As such, I expect that he will be a very positive addition to your
organization.
As the R&D Manager of OM Group I know Al very well. Al was the hardest working, most
conscientious individual in my team(s). He has invented many new products for OM Group,
obtained patents, and has often traveled to customers to install and troubleshoot new complex
multistep chemical processes that he invented. He has an in-depth chemical knowledge and a
strong capability and will power to solve the most complex problems and provide sound
technical solutions. He is very inventive and has made many new technological discoveries that
have been put into practice at OM Group. He has often been asked to travel to and solve
problems at our customer’s sites and always carries out the solutions in the most professional
manner with tact and skill.
Al Kucera has written R&D reports, patents, technical data sheets, customer operational
manuals, internal and customer presentations and has published technical articles. He has been
a key leader in the product development cycle for many complex multistep chemical processes.
He not only has invented the products but has carried many new processes to the field, installed
them, and secured the business at many new customers in USA, Europe and Asia.
Al Kucera takes the initiative to identify problems and devise solutions. His role requires strong
communication skills, and he has shown that he not only has these skills, but that he also has
the ability to inspire respect and cooperation in teammates and the sales force. The sales force
at OM Group has a great deal of respect for Al. He has shown that he is a very intelligent
person with a mind well-suited to the world of business, sales, troubleshooting and technical
management.
