Lesson Aim:
- At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to read and understand the story.
Learning objectives
- At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to identify some new vocabulary words which
are in the story.
- At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to find the types of articles which are mentioned
in the story. For examples; current events, sports, weather, etc.
- At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to answer the questions which are related to the
story. For example, what does the girl’s father do when he gets home from work?
Assumptions about prior learning
- Some of the students may know some of the new vocabulary words.
- Some of the students know how to read the story correctly.
Anticipated problems
- There may be an extra time of the lesson.
- There may be a problem when the students
are going to move to other groups, like
running or pushing each other.
- Some groups may finish doing the activities
before other groups, talking and doing
nothing.
Possible solutions
- The teacher has to plan some extra activities
for these cases.
- The teacher has to tell the students that they
have to walk not run, and the organized
group will get a point.
- The teacher has to give them some extra
work to keep them busy until the others
finish, and then they will start sharing their
answers.
Personal focus for this lesson
- I will use positive interaction and personal action to create a positive learning environment. I am
going to use some motivation cards to encourage the students and reward students who worked
