Project
Solution
Enel is a global power generation and distribution company headquartered in Italy.
It is launching a new Connected Home services to its customers based
in Italy. Enel believes that these not only improve customer retention but also
enable new revenue generating services [Energy Management, Home
Automation, Safety and Surveillance] on top of selling basic power.
Intel was selected as a strategic partner for Enel along with AWS. Intel helped
shape the E2E solution. Intel provided the IoT GW platform that connects to
multiple sensors such as smart energy meter/clamp, power plugs, door locks,
door/window sensors, IP cameras, etc. Intel provided device security and
management capabilities (HDC). Sensor data is aggregated at GW and sent to
cloud over IP/Cellular connection. AWS provided Cloud IoT platform with data
ingestion, storage, analytics capabilities. Accenture provided applications
platform with dashboard, visualization, and reporting capabilities.
