What is Reserved Seating?

4. What is Reserved Seating?
• Reserved seating is a process that gives re:Invent attendees a way
to get a guaranteed seat in the breakout sessions, workshops, chalk
talks, and other ancillary events.
• In 2017, attendees will be able to reserve seats using both the
re:Invent registration app and the re:Invent mobile app.
• Reserved Seating for re:Invent 2017 will open on Thursday, October
19 at 2:00pm PST.

6. re:Invent 2017 Reserved Seating Updates
1. This year, we are making 75% of each room available for Reserved
Seating.
2. 25% of each will be left open for walk-up attendees.
3. At 10 minutes before the start of every session or event, all
reserved seats will be cancelled and we will begin to fill those
empty seats with attendees in the walk-up line.
4. The re:Invent 2017 Mobile App will be available as a resource to
reserve seats when Reserved Seating goes live on October 19.
5. We have implemented staggered session timing, with the second
time track starting 45 minutes after the first.

Review the session catalog, find a session you are interested in, and hover
over “Scheduling Options. If there is a blue plus sign, click it to reserve a seat.

You will get this pop-up note confirming your reservation:

If you change your mind and want to unreserved your seat, hover over the blue
minus sign and click “Unreserve seat”:

If all the reserve seats in that session are taken, you will receive this pop-up.
Click the yellow plus, and this session will be added your schedule as a walk-
up.

If you change your mind and want to remove your walk-up seat, hover over the
yellow minus sign and click “Remove from Walk-up”:

If you try to reserve a seat in a session during a time where you have a seat
reserved in another session, you will receive these pop-ups and will have to
take action:

Because we have breakout content in three venues, we have designed a
warning to let you know if you are scheduling following sessions in venues that
may be too far apart to travel to in 30 minute break time.
