2. How did you use new media technologies in the construction, research, planning and evaluation stages?
3. iMovie Editing Software Through iMovie I used colourisation on the scene featuring the lyrics “You” to emphasize our blue house colour , as we feel it didn’t feature a lot in our music video. Transitions were used to make the video more interesting e.g. fade to black used at the end of our video, cross dissolve and cross blur which are used throughout the video. Here on the left is a screenshot of us editing our music video. I also used precision editing to change the speed of shots to reflect a change in pace of the music.
4. Desktop Publishing Software – SerifPagePlus Used serif to make sure the layout was correct with the positioning of images and text. I used SerifPagePlus to create the digipack, using it to layer text over photos and oraganise the layout clearly. Serif helped me manipulate the image to fit the correct size of the digi-pack. I used serif to layer this text over the image
5. Canon Digital Video Camera and Tripod. The conon digital video camera allowed us to film our entire music video. Through the use of this camera we were able to achieve many effects in our music video that made it successful, for example the stop motion heart that was drawn around the couple This shot on the left was made possible by the use of the digital camera as we filmed it through each developing stage of the heart as it was being drawn The series of screen shots above represent how the camera helped us achieve fast cut montage effects in our music video.
6. Blogger.com I used Blogger to display all of the planning , evaluation, construction, stages of my music video and ancillary tasks. I used labels on blogger to divide posts into categories and make my posts easier to view. I used blogger to document any changes or issue s during the creation of my products and how we overcame them, for example the issue we had with the programme we used to make the website
7. Still Camera I used my still camera to take various images for my digipack/website. Using the camera allowed me to construct my ancillary tasks successfully which in turn helped me emphasize the brand identity we’d created for our artist. Here are the still images I took for the homepage/front cover of my website and digipack, the picture on the far left is the one we chose to use. Lighting Technology An example of how we used natural light...... For the lighting in my music video we mainly used natural light, however used car headlights to act as spotlights when the clown was dancing. Which contrasts with how we used spotlighting
8. Software Used Within My Blog I used a variety of different software in my blog, used to show images/information in a creative and interesting way. Using the different software enabled me to display my research and construction without my blog looking generis or boring.
