The Olympics
The Olympic games are based on an ancient
ritual started in Grreece some time in the ninth
century B.C.E (Before Common Era, Referring to
the year I). The Modern Olympic games began
again in 1896 and except for one cancellation
during WWII, have continued every four years
until the present time winter Olympics and also
repeat in a four year cycle. From all overthe
world the best athletes come to compete to
establish the champion of champions. Everyone
seems to have a Wonderful time yet the olympics
are not without controversy

Answer : Olympic games begin in Greece
2. How long have the modern Olympic games
been goin on and how often are they held ?
• Answer : 120 years Olympic games has been
going on and they are held every 4 years .
3. Why do you think many countries want to host these
games ? In your opinion are they good or bad for the
world community ? explain
• answer : It will help a lot with the economy. This
can be true however the cost of building facilities
etc. for the Olympics is huge and may not help
the economy at all. It all depends on how these
Olympic facilities are put to use after the Games -
The Olympic Legacy.
• In our opinion they are good for the world
community because event to compete and meet
among countries
4. Should professional (paid) athletes be allowed to
compete, or should the games be limited to amateurs ?
• Answer : in our oppinion The games should be
limited to amateurs because The Olympics
were not meant for pro athletes. They were
for amateur athletes to show the world what
they can do.

The Modern Olympic games began again in 1896 and except for one cancellation during WWII, have continued every four years until the present time winter Olympics and also repeat in a four year cycle. From all overthe world the best athletes come to compete to establish the champion of champions. Everyone seems to have a Wonderful time yet the olympics are not without controversy

  • 18. 2. How long have the modern Olympic games been goin on and how often are they held ? • Answer : 120 years Olympic games has been going on and they are held every 4 years .
  • 19. 3. Why do you think many countries want to host these games ? In your opinion are they good or bad for the world community ? explain • answer : It will help a lot with the economy. This can be true however the cost of building facilities etc. for the Olympics is huge and may not help the economy at all. It all depends on how these Olympic facilities are put to use after the Games - The Olympic Legacy. • In our opinion they are good for the world community because event to compete and meet among countries

Should professional (paid) athletes be allowed to compete, or should the games be limited to amateurs ? • Answer : in our oppinion The games should be limited to amateurs because The Olympics were not meant for pro athletes. They were for amateur athletes to show the world what they can do.
