3. Welcome to the second edition of the SEI Torino Forum, an
initiative we launched last year with the creation of School of
Entrepreneurship & Innovation (SEI) in Turin, Italy.
In the last 20 years we have been witnessing an increasing
role of technology in transforming the landscape of business
and society worldwide, similar to what happened during the
industrial revolutions of the past centuries but faster.
Europe is not yet at the forefront of this very important and
defining tech revolution even though it has the potential to
do so, especially in deep-tech where we think Europe is
globally competitive thanks to founders like you.
As talented entrepreneurs based in Europe, here at SEI Torino
Forum you have the opportunity to share thoughts and get
inspired from some of the most prominent global tech

founded two tech startups in the past.
Recently, genetic testing is being introduced as a
routine test to diagnose them – but currently over 70%
of these tests fail. Nostos Genomics empowers medical

We are making soil analysis, which used to take weeks
to perform, available in real-time through combining
sensor-fusion and AI. This is laying the foundation for
precision agriculture.”

combat this. ConcR is developing an evolutionary
model of cancer which allows doctors to predict and
prevent treatment resistance in specific patients.”

“I am the co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of
Elypta, a Swedish molecular diagnostics company. My
research during a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics led to the
invention of the tech behind Elypta. For this, I was
enlisted among the MIT 35 Under 35 Europe in 2019 in
GEN A-List Top 10 Under 40 in 2019.
Former cancer patients are at continuous risk of
recurrence. To boost the survival chances, Elypta is
developing the first liquid biopsy based on
metabolism to enable convenient, cost-effective and
early monitoring using a simple blood or urine test.”
