2. PSORIASIS
Psoriasis is a common skin condition that changes the
life cycle of skin cells. Psoriasis causes cells to build up
rapidly on the surface of the skin. The extra skin cells
form thick, silvery scales and itchy, dry, red patches that
are sometimes painful.
Psoriasis is a persistent, long-lasting (chronic) disease.
There may be times when your psoriasis symptoms get
better alternating with times your psoriasis worsens.
3. Affected skin is painful,
itchy, often bleeds, and is
debilitating when involving
the face, genitals, palms, or
soles
• Under the microscope, affected skin is
thickened, has increased blood vessels,
and contains numerous white blood
cells
15. ACNE VULGARIS
Acne vulgaris is a common chronic skin disease
involving blockage and/or inflammation of
pilosebaceous units (hair follicles and their
accompanying sebaceous gland). Acne can present
as noninflammatory lesions, inflammatory lesions,
or a mixture of both, affecting mostly the face but
also the back and chest.
36. PRURITIS
Pruritus simply means itching.
Pruritus can result from drug reaction, food allergy,
kidney or liver disease, cancers, parasites, aging or
dry skin, contact skin reaction, such as poison ivy,
and for unknown reasons.
