3. • Appointed a qualified full-time English teacher in Chinnakothur Govt School and
achieved 100% Pass in English subject in Public Exam 2014-15
• Appointed a qualified full-time Math teacher in Chinnakothur Govt School until the
vacancy is filled by Government
• Appointed a qualified full-time Social Science teacher in Theertham Govt School until
the vacancy is filled by Government
• Appointed a qualified full-time teacher in Theertham Govt School until the vacancy is
filled by Government
• Renovated a toilet in Chinnakothur Govt School and brought it to usage, in a place
where students (including girls of higher age) were using open defecation
• Renovated a school building in Chinnakothur Govt School, which was in crumbling
state and not in use
• Conducted an event for all the residents of the Chinnakothur village, to create
awareness and make them responsible for maintaining the school premises

We conducted the following awareness sessions among students and parents of
Chinnakothur and Theertham village
 Educational Awareness session in Chinnakothur and Theertham
 Students Motivational session in Chinnakothur and Theertham
 Examination Awareness session in Chinnakothur and Theertham
 Future Career Guidance session in Chinnakothur and Theertham
 Meeting Parents of Chinnakothur X std students at their door steps to make them
help their children education
SEED Point Assessment (Free Evening Tuition Centers at 10 villages) :
 SEED (Students’ Education and Extra-curricular Skills Development) point
assessment on their infrastructure, tutor skills and students’ progress done at three
phases for 10 different villages

6. • For the Academic year 2015-16, Oyyal is expanding its scope of work at
NALLUR village in Krishnagiri District of Tamil Nadu
• Plan – 1: To look after the development and mentoring of all students in
Nallur Middle School (from Class I to Class VIII)
• Strategy – 1: To execute Plan-1, we appointed a full time teacher at the
school, who will be working on Oyyal’s plans for students’ empowerment all
throughout the year
• Plan – 2: To develop the local village communities in Nallur by
i. Making them aware of Government welfare schemes and availing them
ii. Giving them ideas and mentoring them in employment opportunities
iii. Improving the cleanliness and sanitation aspect by creating awareness
• Strategy – 2: To execute Plan-2, we appointed a full time staff for the village
who will be working for the village empowerment throughout the year

7. • Plan – 3: To run the Evening Tuition Centers (SEED Points) at 10 villages
(for I to VIII students), look after these students’ growth and nourish their
talents and skill base
• Strategy – 3: To execute Plan-3, we appointed a full time project
coordinator who will take care of the infrastructure of these tuition centers
and monitor the growth of each and every child in our tuition Center (SEED
Point)
• In an effort to execute Plan-1 and Plan-3, we have already started Chess
Coaching sessions for 14 selective students (from Nallur and Marandapalli)
who are talented in Chess
• Coaching is given to the students over the weekends by a Professional
Coach who is running a center at Hosur

8. • The minimum financial commitments for this year as it stands today are
Nallur School Teacher salary - 5,000*12 months = Rs. 60,000
Nallur Village Co-ordinator Salary(+TA) - 5,000*12 months = Rs. 60,000
SEED (Tuition Center) Point salary - 20,000*12 months = Rs. 2,40,000
Chess Coaching for selective 14 students - 4,200*12 months = Rs. 50,400

• Please note, that the above expenditure excludes the expenses for infrastructure
development/welfare schemes like a class room or toilet renovation and our regular
visits to the village for implementing the awareness sessions
