In 9r2, the Organization Hierarchy feature
allows definition of parent-child
relationships between organizations. This
functionality also allows customers to
appropriately model the actual parent/child
relationships within the system and
allowing for analytical reporting upon those
relationships.
This feature will improve overall supplier
management capabilities.

Mobile capabilities are a rapidly growing
segment of the business application
market. In 9r2, Ariba will roll out standard
APIs that can be used to facilitate the
mobile application development.
The new API will be flexible enough to
support other implementations like a Buyer
Portal or use within the SAP Universal
Approval Application.
These APIs will provide extensibility of the
On-Premise platform, allowing customers
to continue to leverage the functionality
with additional development. This will also
reduce the reliance upon enterprise email
for notifications and approval functionality.
