Ariba Solution Town Halls were introduced at last year's Ariba LIVE and the feedback was to bring them back again for Ariba LIVE 2013! This is your chance to speak your mind in an open forum in which to share your thoughts and input about our solutions and be heard. Ariba Solutions Management will share a brief roadmap and innovation overview, but then the floor is all yours. We value your feedback and look forward to hearing what’s on your mind.

By making the Event Message Board moreusable, buyers are able to more efficiently handle the event communications and withless issues• Customers more often run significant eventswith a team managing the day to dayinteractions with the participants. The viewerof the message board needs the ability toquickly see what messages have beenresponded to and which haven’t.• Large events with large numbers ofparticipants can lead to a message board filledwith communications. Buyers need the abilityto sort and organize them efficiently.• Buyers have times where they want to re-openan event to allow a participant a chance tosubmit or correct a response but withoutalerting other participants, avoiding the rushof inquiries that is triggered by suchnotifications.EXAMPLES© 2011 Ariba, Inc.   9. 9. #AribaLIVE9BENEFITSAdditional Message Board Improvements More and more customers are concerned with the auditability of their events and themessage boards are key areas for improvements. Events are larger and more complex, managing the message boards can be difficult.The more usable the message boards, the more effective our buyers will be inconducting their events. Suppliers, and some buyers, have thetendency to just “reply to” a messagenotification when received from the solution.This leads to communications that are nottracked in the message boards. By hiding themessage details in the notification, the vieweris forced to go online and view the message. Auditability is a significant issue for somecustomers, especially with the increase ofparticipants challenging the events and howthey were run.EXAMPLES© 2011 Ariba, Inc. A buyer would like tobe able to quickly and efficiently identifywhich suppliers have completed what steps inthe event. When running an event, buyers have to editthe event many times. They need an efficientway to share with participants what waschanged and what is important for them to dowith the changes. The Event History table includes entries forsupplier bids and event updates. Sometimes they do this intentionally,sometimes it is by mistake. Having the abilityto see this, buyers can follow up with them tomake sure they did what they did intentionally. Buyers have a need to know when particularparticipants were invited to events, especiallyin cases of disputes.
