   Most people with intellectual disabilities
    spend only 4 hours at the weekend for
    any leisure activities;
   They spend their leisure time alone in
    loneliness;
   In Australia 53, 2% of people with
    intellectual disabilities are employed ..
W HAT ARE THE POSITIVE
    BENEFITS OF SERIOUS LEISURE ?


   To gain people’s respect
    (recognition, feeling good about
    one-self, positive reactions) and
    derive a sense of personal pride
    (standing on a dais, receiving
    trophies and medals);
   Making new friends.
   Joining a serious leisure association;
   Volunteering as a serious leisure
    activity.
CONCLUSIONS
   Most popular category in Luxury shopping is fashion and leather; they have
    the largest product sector in the luxury goods market;
   The most popular venues for luxury shopping are shopping centre's and malls;
   Asia, Europe and the USA are important shopping destinations;
   Travelling for the purpose of buying luxury products and services now are the
    fastest – growing segment of the tourism industry;
   The number of people who want to experience luxury is constantly on the
    rise;
   Serious leisure help people with intellectual disabilities to gain the necessary
    confidence to communicate with a range of people;
   Serious leisure increases their social competencies;
   Serious leisure help those people to feel happier and received..
