DROMAS 2 WHAT DOES IT DO?
• Defines and records the District Road,
bridge and culvert inventory in each
district.
• Shows roads on Map
• Records road condition and tracks
changes year by year.
• Records Traffic Data and tracks changes
year by year.
• Allows Engineer to enter Annual work
plan, agreed in Performance agreement.

DROMAS 2 WHAT DOES IT DO?
• Allows engineer to package work into contracts (using
MOW/TANROADS standard work items) and records contract details.
• Allows Engineer to enter contract awarded prices and details
• Allows engineer to Manage contracts and report progress. (can
output to HMS or MIS)
• Produces interim contract payment certificates
• Produces monthly and quarterly reports at district , region and
national level
• Shows contract progress on Map.

Admin Menu: Users must login, select Region, select District/LGA and Fiscal year,.
Passwords will be available to the DEs, RE, PMORALG HQ, and RFB. (different
permissions for different users)
Note: Different DC/TC/MC = Different user rights.

'Load Geometry' to load geometry for a selected road editing is required to prepare clean shapefile in GIS
from the GPS track. Engineer will use QGIS programme to do this and also add a column for the road code
and enter the proper road code number. The geometry should be a clean shapefile in single part.
Road Network
The road network menu gives the engineer ability to add roads to network and adjust details.
Geometry (shape line) of each road is also in this tool.

ARMP (Annual Road Maintenance Planning)
The annual maintenance plan, entered by the engineer when Performance agreement is signed.
includes the rates, systems for routine, recurrent, periodic, specific, bridge and emergency
maintenance.
Once entered view of summary of the annual maintenance works can be seen as list and on map.

ARMP-Annual Road Maintenance Program
• Armp Rates-Armp Budgetary Rates-An Engineer Input Rates with
relation to the respective rates for all activities.
• Routine-Select Road-Here you select a road(with road code) and
defining its work description with relation to the length covered of
that specific activity.(Fill in the spaces rounded Blue colour)
• Routine-Prepare Details-Here you prepare details of the activities and
we keep the quantities of the details Fill in the spaces rounded Blue
colour)

Summary Plan can be viewed at Regional and national level for overall picture

Contract Management
Engineer packages the work into contracts and enters details in DROMAS.
Details of the contract, BOQ, rates and contractor details are shown in the DROMAS and can be
reported.

QPR (Quarterly Progress Report);
Engineer puts in progress of work monthly and DROMAS automatically calculates payment due.
DROMAS 2 Then shows the Quarterly Report at council and regional level. These reports can be
viewed live by PMORALG HQ and RFB (view access only).

Cost System; Allows the Engineering to work out unit rates from basic costs, and adding
appropriate overheads. DROMAS 2 will track these unit rates across the regions.

• Quarterly report for whole country

DROMAS Tracks interim payment certificates and quantities from
contract paid for. As long as the Engineer has entered the figures into
the reporting system.

DROMAS Map,
DROMAS 2 is a GIS based system. That means all data stored is geo-referenced and can be shown
on the map. The road inventory once entered by the engineer shows on the map. The work plan in
the performance agreement APA shows on the map. Eventually as Engineer enters monthly progress
of contracts it will show on the map.
Map can be viewed with plain background or with, Google Physical, Google Streets, or google
satelite
