2. INTRODUCTION
• With the development and applications of many embedded technology of car
security system design.
• Many new techniques such as biometric technique, image process technique,
communication technique and more other techniques of car security systems.
• More number of cars is increases and so many number of car theft attempts, for
locally and internationally.
• GSM based car vehicle security system is one of the possible technology
solution and it is designed to identify the car. These issues an electronic system
is developed and discussed in this project.

3. Objective
• An efficient automobile security system and advancement of vehicle features
with technology have been major in automobile industries.
• Many people have to face difficulties in locking/unlocking and switching
ON/OFF the car engine upon losing the car key.
• The system based on embedded controller is designed and implemented in a real
car that does not provide only car security but provides additional features such
as unlocking and locking of the car and switching ON and OFF the car engine.
• This project basically discuss the technology of an electronic system.

4. Existing system
• The most known existing car security system and has lot of drawbacks.
• The present location can be locked and the system will alert the owner if the
vehicle is moved from its present locked location.
• The system is used to provide alert the location.

5. Disadvantages
• Decrease the efficiency of worker
• Expensive
• Battery drains 8 to 12 hours

6. Proposed system
• Locking of the car by sending SMS from the user mobile phone.
• Unlocking of the car by sending SMS from the user mobile phone to the GSM
modem installed in the car.
• Switching ON the car engine by sending SMS from the user mobile phone.
• Switching OFF the car engine by sending SMS from the user mobile phone to
the GSM modem installed in the car.

7. Advantages
• Prevention of theft
• Alert message to mobile phone
• Low cost

8. SYSTEM OVERVIEW
• sending a text message from user mobile number to the GSM modem installed
in the car.
• Many auto theft alarms and devices are installed in cars but they didn’t prove to
be a solution to the customers problems.

9. SYSTEM DESIGN
• Nowadays crime rate is increasing day by day.
• The need of the hour is a better anti-theft control system that can be
implemented by using several technologies like GPS, GSM, GPRS systems.
• In this proposed system it provides additions features such as locking/unlocking
the car and switching ON/OFF car engine.
• It also provides advantages such as when the car key is missed it the user to
control the car engine and locking/unlocking the door by just sending an SMS
from the use mobile number.

12. RELAY
• Relay is an electromagnetic switch operated by
a relatively small electric current that can turn
on or off a much larger electric current.st bullet

13. RELAY DRIVER
• Relay Driver IC. A relay
driver IC is an electro-
magnetic switch that will be
used whenever we want to use a
low voltage circuit to switch a
light bulb on and off which is
connected to 220V mains
supply.

14. GSM (Global System for Mobile communication)
• GSM is a open source system.
• GSM operates 900 Mhz,1800 MHz Frequencies.
• GSM network is divided into four subsystems.
1. The Base-Station Subsystem.
2. The Network Subsystem.
3. The Operation and Support Subsystem.
4. The Mobile Station Subsystem.

18. CONCULSION
• The vehicle can be turned off by only with a simple SMS.
• Now a days the cost of the vehicles are increasing
• This paper implements the car security system based on GSM.
• It eliminates the major complaints of the people
• It provides more features to the car use at low cost.
