Since June’08 as Manager (Transmission- OSP Operation Operation & Project) Vodafone
India Ltd.
A Giant Telecom Company providing the Pre Paid, Post Paid and GPRS services to end users
Role:
 After transferring to Corporate, My JOB assignment In Vodafone India Ltd, is to lead
the entire OSP operation and Project of entire East part of the country (Bihar, Odissa,
ANE, Kolkata and ROB) as an east hub Lead. Also my Job responsibility includes the
Enterprise business in PAN India Basis. Vodafone PAN India is concerned for 100G
Network, National DWDM, FLDS, CEN and ICD network with around 20,000KM. FLDS
network is distributed in over the country with 20G,5G, 2.5G network.
 My assignment started in OSP project management and maintenance with Transmission
planning, Installations, Commissioning of any Transmission equipment. After
completion of 6000KM of Trunkey Fiber laying project in entire Assam & NE, I had been
assigned to do the O&M of this entire fiber project with a team of engineers. I had
gathered the Launching experience of Vodafone at NE Circle.
Also I was assigned to lead the LOS survey project of microwave connectivity as an
additional responsibility.
Significant Highlights:
 Gathered launching experience in Entire Assam and NE Region
 Under my project, Up to till date, 6000KM Fiber have been installed in Entire Assam and
North East, India for Vodafone Essar Spacetel Ltd.
 Handling different Vendors and leading internal Project team for the Transmission
project and Fiber project team in the entire Assam and North East Region including
Megahlaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura and Mizoram.
 Working in the NOC, for the maintenance of Transmission equipment and Fiber and
Radio media.

handling, Billing, ROW process etc.
 Doing the site survey and LOS survey on the interest of Transmission planning in entire
North Eastern Area.
 Any Unique initiatives taken: Uniquely installed & commissioned all the ECI
equipment for SDH Ring at Aizwal City. Installation and commissioning of POI MUX for
STEL, UNINOR and Mapping configuration to provision required E1s etc. Uniquely
Leading the Fiber project team to complete the project of the difficult Terrain like
Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Meghalaya and Tripura. Also Uniquely
done the Fiber planning and Implementation in entire North Eastern States. Site Survey
done in some critical and disturbed places of North Eastern States. Also Managing the
Project of around 100 No.’s of Backbone BTS Sites of NE.
Completion of 200 No’s LOS feasibility test for Microwave connectivity.
 Making Assam and NE, Six consecutive months to top five position in low rated fiber cut
and one month with Zero fiber cut.
 Critical issues resolved/Troubleshooting done: Fiber Taping Issues solved after proper
co-ordination with OIL, Duliajan. Fiber hiring issues solved with PGCIL

Guwahati.
 Implemented Wireless Campus Backbone for IOCL Guwahati.
