4. Architecture and Design
Carlos Hernández-Carrillo, an architect with Estudio b76, and his team that specialises
in work of this nature, was in charge of refurbishing the hotel. The decoration bears the
hallmark of the prestigious interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán, who has created a
welcoming, warm and sophisticated space that reinterprets in an up-to-date, elegant and
pleasant manner the styles of the Spanish Colonies and the Mediterranean.

Mr. Juan Luciano Balez, the
then owner of the plot of
land, chose architect Juan
Bautista Peironet to undertake
the project to build what
would be the Palace of the
Marquis of Alhama.
BUILT IN 1860 RENOVATED IN 1915 RENOVATED IN 2013
The heirs of the Marchioness
Widow of Alhama chose
architect Manuel Ruiz Senén to
completely overhaul the family
palace in order to turn it
into a residential building
with a number of shop
premises.
Ayre Hotels appointed

includes a mini buffet in which you can
enjoy succulent dishes such as
brochettes, "chistorra" sausages cooked
in beer, grissini, omelette with
truffles, "mortadela" with an Oriental
