Pathos – Represents an appeal to the people’s emotions How pathos made history in the books.
Starting from WWI Pathos Has Brought attention the the people
Then WWII came which pathos started to become more effective. Germany’s use of Pathos to bring the people together for war. Hitler took advantage of it and tried to bring violence instead of WORLD PEACE! He brainwashed his people into Believing the impossible and failure.
New Britain’s use of pathos or propaganda. Britain used there Pathos techniques to maintain there nations morale. They used it for protection unlike the Germans.
America was too advanced and powerful for our enemies.
Pathos is even used up to date, especially with the past and recent presidential elections. McCain put up a fight, but wasn’t good enough. He did a good job, but Obama did better. He didn’t advertise himself and speak good enough, therefore was defeated by Pathos, as well.
Obama did a great job in convincing the people that he was the one for the job. Pathos played a big part in Obama’s election. He caught the people’s emotions in many other ways, then this Therefore he came out a winner. Victors is what writes history.
Our world is field with Propaganda, or what we call Pathos! It won’t change either.
UNLESS WE!
NOTES: I used pathos for my extra credit because I wanted to find something that has been used through out our history. So what I did was give a timeline and brief summary of how we used pathos, or propaganda for our benefit, throughout the years. I put pictures up and a brief statement about each slide, in order to give the reader a feel about the way Pathos has been used in the past and present time. Slide 9 and 10, by me giving you a picture of Propaganda and then saying we won’t stop this, “UNLESS WE COME TOGETHER,” is a pathos technique as well. What if???? You never know. Thanks for the extension Professor!
