Making my double page article Beth Shannon
My first stage Before making my double page article I had to do some research and planning to make my article the best it could possibly be. For my research I studied and analysed present music magazines and their feature articles. This was my research which I carried out: I then decided to make a flat plan to roughly see what my double page article would look like. I then wrote my article which was going to be in my double page spread so it would be easier to transfer over. researching double page articles my flat plan design double page article
Making my title This is my title for my double page article I had took this idea from a magazine I had researched. I liked this idea as it looked original and interesting. This was the first stage in making my double page article. I decided to position this at the top left corner of the page. When I looked at magazines that previous students had made certain people did not keep the same colour scheme as their front cover and contents page. I did not go with this idea and thought it would look more professional if I kept the same colour scheme.
Inserting images This was my second stage in making my double page article. For this stage I decided to add the images I was going to use. As you can see for this certain image I decided to add a border to make it look more interesting and not plain. As I liked this idea I decided to put black borders around each image.
Changing images After adding the black borders to each image I decided I did not like the arrangement of my images so I decided to move the bottom two images together. I did this as I thought it would be easier to fit my article in to my double page spread.
Adding article
Adding article The next stage in making my double page spread was adding my article. When I originally added my article it did not fit on the double page spread. This resulted in me changing sizes of my text but also my images. As you can see in the slide above. To make my double page spread more realistic I decided to add quotes. On the next slide is my finished double page spread. In my opinion I think it is successful .
