2. INTRODUCTION
The TPI or teaching perspective inventories are perspectives that can be dominant or
poor.
Teaching perspectives help teachers to understand and apply better their profiles. If
teachers know what their perspectives are, they can adequate their teaching according to
the content and the way students learn. The purpose of TPI is to measure 5 perspectives
which are: Transmission, Apprenticeship, Developmental, Nurturing and Social Reform.
These perspectives can help teachers to collect their thoughts and summarize their ideas
and beliefs about teaching. They can be useful in examining your own teaching as well as
helping clarify the teaching views of other people. In order to know your Teaching
Perspectives you have to take an on line questionnaire that contains 45 questions.
