  • 9. Older children reading to younger ones. Kids saying the library is there favorite place to be. The mom who told me her teenager rolls out of bed, puts his clothes on and runs to the library. Snowbirds who return with book list in hand, so happy they can get the books they want without being on a long list. The guy who comes in nearly every day to read the paper, sits in the same chair, and never speaks. The lady who was so happy for help with her iPad she sent the library staff flowers. The woman who, while waiting in the library for her husband to run errands, plays the piano.
