Attained a degree from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota in May 2012, where I studied to be a
Cytogenetic Technologist. In May through October completed an internship at Anschutz Medical

Cytogenetic Technologist
Currently employed in the Microarray department.
Job responsibilities include: Training first shift employees in the following. Determining the acceptability
of specimens for testing according to established Labcorp procedures and criteria. Responsible for
proofreading order requisitions forms to verify all information is accurate and that testing is ordered
properly. Prepare samples through all steps until final analysis. Perform quality control tests on all
reagents and sample types. Maintain standards of all testing and reporting in order to maintain consumer
satisfaction. Responsible for ensuring oncology clients for microarray are running smoothly and haven’t
been passed over. Verify that laboratory equipment and machinery are running at specifications laid out
in Standard Operated Procedures. Identify technical problems with equipment, and act accordingly to
ensure repairs are done an in timely fashion.
In addition to my regular duties, I volunteered for an expanded assignment as a Technologist Lead on a
clinical trial. This position had the following tasks: Attending meetings on trial details, providing input
regarding testing procedures, training co-workers in the clinical trial’s techniques, proof-reading of all data
entry, and writing the majority of the Standard Operated Procedures for the trial.

Responsible for running PCR and sequencing analysis in order to ensure quality control on new primers
and reagents. Performed quality control comparisons on new tests that our molecular technicians
developed in order to be put into clinical testing. Created primers to help verify a deletion in microarray

in debugging excel programs in order to improve efficiency.
