Clarity reduces platemaking processing times to less
than 40 minutes, 300% faster than leading solvent
systems and 1.5 times faster than current thermal and
water technologies. Faster plate making means more

Unmatched Image Quality
Clarity’s innovative water wash chemistry does far
more than simply eliminate the need for solvents and
wicking cloths – it delivers longer runs while producing a
consistent 200 lpi at 4,400 dpi, 1% process dot structure
for print quality never before seen with flexo plates.

DIGITAL AND ANALOG PLATES
Longer Runs per Plate
The exclusive chemistry of Clarity enables each
plate to perform longer on press than competitive
platemaking options. Clarity is proven to deliver
significant improvements in plate durability and
reductions in plate swell. This one-two productivity
punch increases overall press uptime resulting in
longer print runs and greater overall shop profitability.
Ink and Equipment Compatible
Standard, low-cost waterwash equipment is all you
need to process Clarity plates.
Clarity is fully compatible with all common CTP
imaging equipment including ESKO, Dainippon
Screen and Kodak. Fujifilm also offers a full range of
waterwash processing equipment from small stand-
alone units to full in-line systems. Either way you
go, you dodge the expense of higher-cost solvent
and thermal processors as well as those infamous
upcharges on consumables.
Plus both the analog and digital versions of Clarity can
be used with any UV, waterbase or solvent-based inks.
No special SKUs needed. Just clean and get ready for
the next job – no matter what ink is required.
Environmentally Friendlier and Safer
Washout of Clarity plates is accomplished with only
a mild detergent and typically allows for the residual
solution to be treated as common wastewater after
removing a small amount of residual particulate. This
particulate can normally be treated as common waste
with minimal, if any, environmental impact.* Compare
this to the known impact solvents and wicking cloths
make on the environment during their life cycle
of manufacture, application and disposal,
and you’ll see how Clarity provides
you a greener solution.
Not working with solvents will be
welcomed by your employees too. In
fact the unique low pH level of Clarity provides a
safer environment for even those working with other
water-wash plates requiring high alkaline cleaning
solutions. No more residual industrial waste.

In 12 and 24 hour plate swell tests, Clarity resulted in 25% to 45% less swelling compared
to solvent plates.
