6. Second day (17/07/2014): Dublin.
Aviva Stadium
•Aviva Stadium is located in 62 Lansdowne Road, Dublin 4, next to
our hotel. You can walk to the stadium from the hotel or you can
have a bus (Pembroke Road 4,5,7,8,18 and 45).
• The Aviva Stadium is
a sports stadium with
a capacity for 51,700
spectators .It is home
to its chief tenants:
the Irish rugby union
team and the Republic
of Ireland football
team.

8. •The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre is a 2,111-capacity theatre which
opened on 18 March 2010. Designed by Daniel Libeskind of New
York and RHWL Architects of London, it is located in the Grand
Canal Dock area.
•You can get ther by bus: Routes 1, 2, 3, 47, 50, 56a, 77 and 77a all
operate to either Pearse Street or Grand Canal Dock, the closest
stops to the Venue. The last buses departs at 23.30 hrs, Monday –
Sunday.
•From 8th July to 24th July at 7:30 PM is offered the “Dirty Dancing”
performance and you can book your ticket at the Bord Gáis Energy
Theatre website since 35€ each adult in the upper section. If you
don’t like those performance you can also see these architectonic
sculpture from the outside.

11. Third day (18/07/2014): Trip to Belfast and the
Giant's Causeway
•Main information: The tour is conducted exclusively in english. It takes 12,5h. Includes
guide and transportation by bus. Departure at 7am: Meeting Point: Gresham Door’s Hotel,
Upper O'Connell Street number 23. Arrival at 7:30 pm aprox.
•Leaving Dublin, tour the Antrim Coastal Path , where the Armada ran aground in 1588
because of a big storm. Continue the route through different towns as Bushmills, where
one of the most famous whiskeys in the country is done .
Our first stop is the Giant's Causeway . This area consists of 40,000 columns of basalt rock
formed 60 million years ago by a volcanic cooling. It's area is closely related to Finn
McCool, a hunter and warrior of Celtic mythology.
At afternoon we will go to Belfast , capital of Northern Ireland, most populous city and
second largest town of the island of Ireland behind Dublin.
In Belfast we will see the most representative buildings and monuments: Queens
University , the jail , the courthouse and of course, the area of Catholics and Protestants
and the Peace Wall , wall separating the two neighborhoods . These doors open wall only
once a day .
Cross the city watching the Town Hall, the tower of Prince Albert , Customs and finally the
shipyards where the Titanic was built in 1912.
After the guided tour you should have two hours of free time to eat , walk or visit the
Titanic Museum .

13. Fourth day (19/07/2014): Excursion to
Newgrange and the Boyne Valley
•Main information: The tour is conducted exclusively in english. It takes 8h. Includes guide,
transportation by bus and tickets for the sights. Departure at 9:30 am: Meeting Point:
Gresham Door’s Hotel, Upper O'Connell Street number 23.
•From Dublin at 9:30 in the morning we head to the Boyne Valley which is Ireland 's most
famous archaeological site and one of the largest in Europe .
Once in the necropolis and depending on availability we will enter the passage tombs of
Newgrange , Knowth and Dowth . The tour will explain some curiosities as why and how
built and influenced the future of souls.
The rest of the day we will work to explore the area and see , among other places, the Hill
of Tara ( where was appointed High King of Ireland over several centuries ) , the ruins of
Monasterboice ( set of two churches and circular tower with its renowned Celtic crosses ,
considered the best in Ireland) and Mellifont Abbey (founded in the mid- twelfth century
and abandoned in the VXI , was the first Cistercian monastery in the country) .
Boyne River area was also the scene where the two disputed island possible successors to
the British crown.

15. Fifth day (20/07/2014): Guided tour of Dublin by bus
•Main information: The tour is conducted exclusively in english. It takes 2h. Includes
guide, transportation by bus. Departure at 9:30 am: Meeting Point: Citizen Information
Office (14 Upper O'Connell St, next to the Savoy cinema).
•The tour begins in O'Connell Street, Dublin 's most famous street. It was here that the
Easter Rising of 1916 , an event that determined the future independence of Ireland
took place .
Continue along the river Liffey where the Vikings came the first time , see the Customs
House and the new business area , where the most modern buildings and bridges in the
city .
The tour will continue its course from Trinity College and Merrion Square parks and St
Stephens Green, where we know the Georgian architecture and the famous gates of the
city. Then we go north through Temple Bar, the statue of Molly Malone , Grafton Street,
Dublin Castle and City Hall .
The tour continues through the cathedrals of Christ Church and St. Patrick. Later we will
see the Guinness Storehouse , the Museum of Modern Art and Kilmainham Jail .
Crossing Phoenix Park deer try to find freedom. Back in O'Connell Street we pass the
Museum of History (Collins Barracks ) , the fantastic Four Courts building and the Half
Penny Bridge ( Ha'penny Bridge) .

17. Sixth day (21/07/2014): Tour to the Cliffs of Moher
•Main information: The tour is conducted exclusively in english. It takes 12,5h. Includes guide,

•Our first stop is next to Bunratty Castle, where you can have breakfast and stretch your legs .
The tour continues up to the Cliffs of Moher. The cliffs have dimensions of 8 km in length and
up to 210 meters high.
Taking one of the most beautiful coastal roads in Ireland will reach the Burren National Park.
The Burren is noted for its karst landscape and its dozens of archaeological sites dating back to
2,500 BC Two of the most famous monuments in the Burren are safe and Caherconnell
Poulnabrone dolmen .
In addition to the Neolithic monuments , the remains of the Norman castles are spread
throughout the area. We stop at the Dunguaire Castle, built in the early sixteenth century ,
and pass through coastal towns like Kinvana .
Our last stop is Galway, one of the most interesting cities in Ireland. Here you will have free
time to visit the colorful historic center and take a look at their stores. Between sightseeing ,
do not miss the Cathedral and the Spanish Arc .

19. Seventh day (22/07/2014): Excursion to
Wicklow and Glendalough
•Main information: The tour is conducted exclusively in english. It takes 7,5h. Includes guide,
transportation by bus and tickets for the sights. Departure at 9:45: Merrion Square, corner
of the statue of Oscar Wilde.
•First we go to the Wicklow , Ireland beautiful green county more colorful.
Although Wicklow is located about 50 miles from Dublin , from leaving the capital we get
into the Irish countryside , a place where most people are cattle and sheep.
Halfway stop at Powerscourt neoclassical mansion where you will have free time to explore
the stunning gardens. Do not miss the curious pet cemetery .
The next stop is the valley of Glendalough, which is a Celtic monastery in the sixth century .
Visit its churches, towers and crosses by reviewing its heyday , prior to the Viking invasion.
After the visit you can stroll through fascinating roads leading to the lakes that formed in the
Ice Age .
For lunch we stop at a restaurant in the middle of the mountains. Your beef stew (Irish -Stew
) is one of the best in Ireland, probably because the raw material of the mountains.

21. Eighth day (23/07/2014): Shopping day
•Main information: There are buses every 30 min from 9:00 am to 18:00 pm from the
door’s hotel to the places that are going to be visited.
•South of Liffey lies one of the largest shopping areas in the city , Grafton Street , a busy
shopping area among which it is worth noting the Brown Thomas department store and
the Powerscourt Centre, a charming shopping center located in a building XVIII
century.Another of the major commercial centers of Dublin St. Stephen 's Green Shopping
Centre, located at the end of Grafton Street, which has a curious transparent structure
reveals the sky from inside .
North of the river lies the commercial area around O'Connell Street and Henry two streets
full of shops and shopping centers like the Jervis Shopping Cetre , one of the largest in the
city.For those looking for something special and do not conform with the impersonality of
the malls , the best area is Temple Bar where you can find unique shops plus lots of shops
devoted to crafts .
A favorite of the citizens of Dublin to make their everyday purchases locations Penneys , a
mall that offers very competitive prices.

22. • Before taking the road north we will stop at the Marino Casino, an
architectural gem that most travelers do not get to see.
Once we stop at their Malahide Castle , probably the best known place for this
city . Data from the eleventh century and was expanded and renovated at the
time of Georgian splendor .
Following the route will skirt the coast past Portmarnock up to the Howth
peninsula . This protected area is inhabited by several species of endangered
birds .
Once in Howth stop along the cliffs , from where you can see from Dublin Bay
to the Wicklow Mountains .
The village of Howth is a very trendy place with Dubliners and many come
here to eat on weekends . Fishing boats docked alongside newcomers to
hundreds of seals that live in the harbor.
Lunch in the village and have free time before returning to Dublin.
