- Established in 2006, UCSF's CTSI was among the first of the now 60-member NIH-funded Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) consortium. CTSI leadership report directly to the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost, Jeff Bluestone
- The CTS Training Program (CTST) provides training in C&T research with level of training ranging anywhere from individual courses to more intensive workshop and certificate programs to advanced training and degreed programs (e.g. Master’s in Clinical Research)
- CTSI’s Dr Bill Balke conducts a workshop on “Postdoctoral Funding Opportunities: NIH and Beyond” (including information on application preparation) via the Office of Career Development PASS lecture series
- CTSI and other intramural units provide funding for pilot projects in various areas including the T1 Translational Catalyst Program for the Development of Diagnostics and Therapeutics http://rap.ucsf.edu/pilot-t1/ and the Under Represented Faculty & Senior Fellows in Clinical and Translational Research Awards
- The UCSF Cores Database is a searchable tool that has information on 80 research core facilities at UCSF, their services and equipment, and location and contact/website information
- The CRS program houses 8 clinical research centers that provide an array of clinical research services including two new cores in development: the Participant Recruitment Core and Clinical Research Coordinator Core
