candidates = salaries and/or benefit packages go
up. The “post and pray” approach might not work.
On the other hand, more candidates, more choice,
more negotiation flexibility.
From the candidate perspective: more demand =
"less effort" put into the job search (less time, more
space to negotiate salary).

-4.78%
The first half of 2021 showed a very strong upward tendency, despite 3 weeks of
numbers dropping a little at the beginning of May. The number of job ads peaked at
the end of June and then dropped drastically. Since the end of July, the job ad level
has slowly been increasing and might soon reach the one from the beginning of 2021.

The DACH region is one of the biggest contributors to the overall European level of
job ads on LinkedIn. Thus, the tendencies of both are similar: an increase in the first
half of 2021, a peak at the end of June, a drastic decrease at the end of July, and
a slow recovery that came after.

The Visegrad countries (Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary) also reflect the overall
European situation in 2021, but the most important moments happened at slightly
different timing. The June job ad peak took place 2 weeks before, and the summer
decrease two weeks after the phenomenon was observed in the rest of Europe.
