3. INTRODUCTION
Mudéjar art is a unique style in the history of Spain.
It was a meeting point between Christianity and Islam.
The term Mudéjar refers to the Muslims who continued to
practice their religion and customs in the territories that
were governed by the Christians during the Reconquest of
the Hispanic Kingdoms.
It exists due to the peaceful coexistence between three
cultures: Christians, Muslims and Jewish.
4. CHARACTERISTICS
It combines the Gothic style with different decorative materials and
elements.
They used archs of Gothic origin (pointed arch) and islamic origin
( horseshoe arch, pointed horseshoe arch and lobed arch).

5. CHARACTERISTICS
The most usual materials are bricks in walls and pillars and the use of
wood in ceilings (coffered ceilings).
For decoration they used: tiles and plasterwork.
