PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
1. Tesco Operating Model V2 (Cutover)
This phase needed a business requirement to cutover all the systems managed by Legacy system to
Operating Model system. Before the existence of Operating Model, all the systems were managed by
Legacy. After Operating Model came into existence, all the systems were gradually moved under
Operating Model. For cutover from Legacy systems to Tesco Operating Model program, there is
requirement to extract Initial load information to OM systems from Legacy systems. To achieve this
functionality, high level process flow architecture was designed. To accomplish this task, set of
interfaces were created. There are two different ways of stores can cut over to the operating model,
one is an upgrade to Storeline and the other is a replace with a New Instance. Countries like Czech
where stores are functioning on legacy store applications need to have these replaced with Operating
Model Storeline and will be considered as New Instance. The express stores (SL V47 is in use) in Thailand
will be considered as SL Upgrade. Again a set of interfaces were developed to integrate different
systems by sending data regarding BOL’s (Bill of Lading) ,PO(Purchase order) ,Stock On hand details that
would help to cutover the stores from Legacy system to OM systems Team Size: 12

2. Tesco Operating Model V2 (Sales)
Operating Model is a project that defines standard business functionality for all the Group countries
where Tesco stores operates such that group repeatable solution can be deployed with only few
configuration changes. The Integration Layer is a layer that integrates different retail applications such
as ORMS, ORPM,RETEK Integration bus, Group ordering(forecasting System),Retalix Storeline(Point of
Sale),Logistics Management used by TESCO to make the data flow across the systems.
Sales is one of the major functionality in Operating Model and there are various systems involved
(Storeline,ORESA,Group Ordering, Logistics management) in Sales flow in which IL is taking an important
role as part of sales flow especially providing the sale details to Tesco auditing system, Forecasting and
logistics systems. It enables various systems to communicate with each other using different integrating
tools like Microsoft SSIS, RTI and .Net.

5. 3. Operations ScoreCard
The purpose of the Business Scorecard (OS) is to facilitate alignment amongst Chief Operating Officers
(COOs) on a balanced set of metrics to manage it. It will establish a foundation that will provide a
consistent framework, approach, look and feel, etc. for performance measurement/reporting across the
organization. Accenture Business Scorecard is built with a Cognos web interface on top of a SQL Server
2000 database server. OS pulls the data from several data sources, including both user generated flat
files uploaded to the Interface Application Website (IAW) and data extracts from the SAP Business
Warehouse (BW). OS uses the Enterprise Batch Integration (EBI) platform to transfer all source data to
staging tables on OS’s database server.

OnQSM is one of the web applications of Hilton group of hotels. Application is developed using .Net 2.0
and SQL Server 2005.Data related to Hilton hotels, hotels bookings and users is stored in a database
built using SQL Server 2005.Client can use this application to search for hotels located in various
locations and can book hotel rooms as per his requirement. Hotels related data is loaded in database
using SSIS packages.
