ETPL and JFDI have joined forces to operate an innovation program for research groups and the startup community in Singapore. Through this program, you will learn to apply the lean startup methodology to transform your startup ideas into new businesses. This is not your typical one-off workshop. It's a 8-week collaborative learning process between researchers, entrepreneurs and mentors from JFDI and ETPL.
The theme of this innovation program is "IOT for Health", and here are some quick highlights:
- 8-week long program starting in mid April 2016
- Limited to 8 teams
- Opportunity to pitch on a demo day event
- Opportunity to be showcased at a major local conference
- No fees to pay, no equities to give up
4. Finance + Insight + Entrepreneurs = Innovation
JFDI creates, supports and invests
in new digital ventures. It teaches
entrepreneurship and systematizes
innovation, sharing risk and reward
to help individuals and corporations
build wealth in Asia for Asia.
JFDI was founded in Singapore in
2010 by Hugh Mason and Wong
Meng Weng.
5. Our work is based on three theses
1. Entrepreneurship will always be difficult but it need not be random or lonely.
2. A new Science of Startups makes it possible to engineer new ventures
systematically, reducing risks and boosting repeatable returns from both
technical and business model innovation.
3. There are huge opportunities to solve problems across Asia if we can
combine the agility of startups and the efficiency with which they deploy risk
capital with the market access and capitalization of established enterprises.
