2. Demographic profiling
Demographic is a way that we can use to sort the general public
into different sectors, this makes it a lot easier to market and sell
products like films and television programmes. This helps when it
comes to the marketing process of these products because it
then allows the producer to know who will come and watch the
product when it is realised.
We have chosen to use class E; this consists of
students, unemployed, pensioners and causal workers; we have
chosen this because our two main viewers aspire to achieve
goals to be placed in class A demographics therefore they would
want to watch our thriller video for social entertainment whilst
working hard to achieve their goals.
3. Psychographic profiling
The psychographic classes we have used as our target
audiences are:
Mainstreamers, these sorts of people tend to be
domestic, conformist and sentimental. This is usually the
most common and largest group in society.
However our audience will audience will also go under
the group explores because they are students and are
trying to get experience and don’t mind trying new things
this would get them into the mainstream class.
The explorers class has a lot of energy, experience and
individualism, this includes people who want to travel the
world and are seen in forms of students.
4. Laura Drew
Age: 21

Laura enjoys going out with friends on Saturday nights, going to gigs and
she also manages bands and is artistic; she likes keeping up to date with
the latest trends and films and is always going to the cinema and to gigs
to find new material.
Laura is the type of audience that we are looking for as she links in with
her style of films including horror and psychological, she also enjoys
going to the cinema and keep up with new films and music therefore as a
new movie it may interest her to come and see our film.
Laura is also in the right age range of 21 and that is also important as
young adults are more likely to come and view our film.
5. Bobby Smith
Age: 18
Films: Comdey, sifi,, slasher films
Music: R&B, Dubstep, House music
Shop: Topman, river island, Jack Wills
Tv: Made in Cheslea, match of the day, UFC
Bobby enjoy playing football and other video games on his xbox but
also competing for his football team in real life; he enjoys sports and
trying and viewing new things. Bobby is a blogger so he is always
looking for new trends, fashions, music and films to blog about and
hopes to be a writer one day.
Bobby is the type of audience we are looking for as he links in because
he is the right age as a young adult; as a blogger it is important for
bobby to keep up to date with all the latest things so he also fits in as
our film is new and it would be interesting to blog about for Bobby as it
is a type of film he doesn’t normally go and watch.
