Chris Kwekowe C. shares his journey from a shy student who didn't excel academically to discovering his passion for technology and entrepreneurship. He overcame challenges like being offered the wrong program in university and spent a year teaching himself computer skills. This led him to study computer science and start his own company creating innovative technology products to empower youth. He encourages others to look for opportunities, be creative, and have a strong desire to positively impact their generation through self-discovery of their purpose.

1. Think BIG! Do More!
Chris Kwekowe C. (Chris Kweks)
The Journey so far…
2. The Drive – Assessment
• For the past few days, I've had the most exciting
experience of relinquishing what has transpired in my life
over the past few years and I came up with these quite
poetic lines.
..::Though there were bitter times, I‟d rather ponder on
the sweet ones, and for the unpleasant experiences, I‟d
rather choose to reminisce on the blissful memories, I
might not have been the best yet I refuse to despair
because if I were not better today, I wouldn't have known
I wasn't good enough yesterday.. Indeed, the best is still
ahead::.
3. We are solely responsible for
our success.
• In life, the person that has the most to do with what
happens to you is YOU!
• Whatever we think of ourselves, that is what we become.
• No matter how bright the future is, it only takes someone
who makes a move in the right direction to discover what
propels that brightness and how to make it even brighter.
4. ... And I didn’t really mind.
- Born on 12th January, 1993
- Schooled in Benin City
- Was „One of those kids‟ you knew
existed but never really bothered to talk
to.
- Never came first, second or third at
school
- Didn‟t have all that my peers had.
5. Just before High School
- I was contended but not happy
- I was challenged by my dad to see how my
mates excelled
- Mum never under-estimated me (maybe a
little, lol)
- My younger ones began to grow taller than
me. (Hey, I was losing command)
- Now I had to do something.
6. ...I knew I could do better
- The resolve – I discovered I could do better
an got angry at how late I was realizing it.
- I channeled this anger through mentorship
and turned it to inspiration.
- I was ready to learn and even quicker to
apply.
- My dad laid the foundation – He got us a
desktop computer.
7. ..and that was the beginning of
bliss (so I thought)
• Joined the league of result toppers
• Represented my school in numerous debates and
won a huge deal of „em
• Used the computer as a leisure commodity
(writing stories, poems, surfing the net, writing
basic computer codes etc.)
• Awarded best student in Economics and
Computer Science.
• Started a small I.T idea called CeyLexton
8. ..misconception corrected
• I always wanted to study medicine – (The
VOGUE crisis)
• I wrote my exams in S.S 2 here in Ogun State
and passed but I was offered Bio-Chem which
I refused
• I had to spend one year at home, with the
computer...
• And that was the beginning of bliss
9. ..misconception corrected
• Fore-hand computer knowledge came handy.
• Came across the write guys.
• Tried my hands on web design, and software
development.
• Never found difficulty with any aspect of
computer science I was exposed to.
• Asked God what he‟s plan was for me..(God: This
is what I‟ve been trying to tell you but you just
wouldn‟t listen...)
10. ...School is limited, life isn’t
• Got admission to study Computer
Science/Software Engineering.
• Academics should be the path to self-
discovering but in most cases it isn‟t enough.
(Short-comings)
• Discovered that school sometimes robs us of our
creativity and limits our understanding to only
theories (Teachers aren‟t always to blame
though)
• Learnt to solve problems rather than run away
from them.
• Never settled for anything less.
• “You can have everything but maybe not at the
same time” theory.
11. ..I LOVED what I was doing (and I
still do).
• Pursued my passion of creating a company
that is built on creativity and innovative
technology and geared towards empowering
teenagers and young adults towards global
impact.
• Discovered the theory of business – Solving
problems (and doing it fashionably with the
customer in mind)
• All our products solve a need (a very
challenging one) – StudyHub, OfficeSmart
DNS
12. Living with purpose – My Basics for
Success
• Mentorship and Philosophy
• Personal Commitments and sacrifices
• Doing MUCH with VERY LITTLE
13. My Charge 4 you
• We need to look around and get creative. See things that
others don‟t see. What opportunities are right under our
noses? What lemon could we turn into lemonade? While
our others are sleeping, what can we do that would really
make them marvel? I challenge you all to a path of self-
discovery and a strong desire to impact your generation
positively. And I can assure you, the world is only too
ready to celebrate you! Thank you.
