3. Who are we?
City Disposal specializes in hazardous waste disposal in
the NYC, NJ, LI and general Tri-State Area. Our licensed,
OSHA trained crew oversee your environmental needs,
and perform all tasks within EPA guidelines.
4. What is hazardous waste?
The term hazardous waste encompasses many different harmful materials,
all of which have the following four qualities:
1. Toxic: When dealing with hazardous waste removal, it is a known fact that the
substance which you will be handling is toxic. Toxic chemicals are harmful and can be
fatal when absorbed or ingested.
2. Ignitable: Most hazardous waste is flammable under the right conditions.
3. Corrosive: Corrosive substances can break down others when they come into touch.
These can be harmful to your skin. On the PH scale, corrosive substances are either
acids with a PH < 2, or bases with a PH >12.5.
4. Reactive: As defined by the EPA, reactive wastes are “wastes which are unstable
under “normal” conditions.” This means that the waste can cause havoc when
exposed to certain elements or mixed with water.

6. The 6-Step Process
1. Proposal drafting: Soon after your company contacts us, we will request all of the
information we require about your waste disposal needs. This allows us to draft an
accurate proposal of our services and pricing that we will submit for you to consider.
2. Schedule a pick-up: If you are happy with our proposal, simply contact our office to
schedule your pick-up.
3. Packaging: If the materials we must remove from your facilities require a certain type of
packaging, we can take care of that issue as well. We are happy to provide all of the
proper paperwork, labels and waste disposal containers required to remove the materials
from your facility and ultimately dispose of them.
4. Preparing to pick-up: We will perform any necessary sitework, collect all of the items
needed to package and transport the materials and complete all of the paperwork and
container labeling required for the job.
5. Removal and disposal: After the waste is ready for disposal, we will pick up the waste
from your facility and dispose of it safely and in accordance with federal regulations.
6. Certification: Within 30 days of the waste removal, we will typically provide you with a
certificate of disposal.
