Artist: Jodi Farmer Title: Clockwise Medium: Acrylic and ink Size: 600 x 1200 mm Art description This canvas started as an experiment with paint and ink using the dripping technique and rotating the canvas after applying the medium. I then began to fill in parts of the canvas using solid colour in certain areas. Artist bio I completed a degree in Graphic Design in 1991. Since then I have worked for small design studios in Brisbane whilst painting, drawing and printmaking from home. I returned to university to study Primary teaching and now work part time teaching Art at schools in Adelaide. My studio at home is where I experiment with all mediums for pleasure and relaxation. I hope to exhibit my work in the near future.

Marriage is a social union or legal contract between people that creates kinship. it is not to become a form of legalized prostitution It is not for same sex because it is between a man and a women. The widespread adoption of different versions of no-fault divorce by most states after 1970 transformed marriage and family. The traditional presumption in favor of the permanence of marriage (with certain well-defined exceptions) gave way to a situation in which one of the partners, for whatever reason, could unilaterally end the marriage. This marked a cultural shift from regarding marriage as a truly fundamental social institution to regarding it as primarily a personal union in which there is a very limited social interest. Artist bio KRISTIAN T MUMFORD b.1980 Born in country South Australia, Mumford is third generation Australian artist and son of Jenni Mumford, astronomer, gardener and painter. At the age of 14, he decided that art was going to be his chosen profession. Kristian was fortunate to study informally with Jenni Mumford and Scottish grandfather Gerry Hough OAM. Much of what Kristian paints or makes relates to the beauty he loves of a persons inner most being. His paintings a cease searching and revelation of forces benign. A versatile painter, Mumford's artistic output includes landscapes and one or two still lifes, however he feels especially compelled to paint the most classical of artistic subjects, the human figure. Kristian Mumford's painting is elegant. Smoothed, layered, dusted and swifted onto the picture plane with lucent virtuosity, his rich vermeer secular works challenge intimidated assumptions. Mumford has developed, a healthy disregard for the opinions of others, heavly educated in his twenties, yet always knowing in his heart to pursue his own unique vision and belief in artistic freedom. Serene country South Australian-based Mumford was already a regular exhibitor prior to completing Post Graduate studies in both Visual Arts at SASA and Landscape Architecture at Melbourne University. Artist: Laura Crowther Title: The Tarot Card Series- Strength Medium: Digital Print Size: 20x30" Art description The Strength tarot card represents having courage, strength and self discipline, particularly in challenging situations. A recognition of the dark side of one's own nature is suggested, being able to both acknowledge and harness its remarkable power. If the shadow side of any person is left unconscious it can be an extremely destructive force, but when understood and embraced it can offer remarkable resources, particularly in times of trouble. The Strength tarot card symbolizes genuine self assurance and an acceptance and mastery of the truth behind any situation. Artist bio Born and raised in China. Lisa's passion and aptitude for art was evident at an early age. Her formal art training commenced at secondary school and continued through university. In 2000 Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Shanghai. In 2002, Lisa left China went to New Zealand to open a new chapter in her life. During her time there, she developed further as an artist and became a respected art teacher. In early 2007, Lisa moved to Australia . She is now a full-time artist and frames her own work- believing that the frame is an integral part of the work that should support and enhance the work's central theme.

Artist: Benjamin Kimpton-Harvey Title: Something Medium: Acrylic, Enamel Size: 1000mm x 750mm Art description the jumble of life, in some sort of flow Artist bio Born in Adelaide, Australia I have been involved with art since birth and have always used it as a form of expression and an outlet for creativity. As a product of my generation I was quickly involved in street art which gave me a basis for my artistic style and techniques. Street art improved my natural skill for combining and contrasting colours with aesthetic appeal, and advanced my use of natural and unusual shapes; both showing prominently in my canvas work. I take inspiration from nature, world cultures, symmetry, surrealism and modernist art but do not let my style conform to any standard, method or prejudice of what art should be. I am constantly trying new techniques and am not restricted to a brush. I find that combining enamel spray paint and acrylics creates a unique and aesthetically entrancing product, but also use any other medium at my disposal. I also do not like to be restricted to a canvas and can use any surface to create art as I find that text ure and dimension is just as important element to art as the image itself, whether it is physical texture or imposed. Until my creation of art has been purely for personal benefits so I have not enhanced my portfolio; but am not looking at doing this so that my art can possibly be inspiration to others.

To me this picture is beautiful, because there is an honesty in it. Her illness forced her to forgo her usual meticulously crafted face of makeup and trendy outfits and just be herself, to let go of her unhealthy obsession with image. 23. Artist: Rebecca Kammer Title: From A to BP #2 Medium: Archival Inkjet Print Size: 50x75cm Art description This photograph is part of my graduating folio, a series entitled "Mod Cons". It is about the way we as humans seem to have a deep drive to make things more convenient for ourselves, but in this quest we have ultimately created a poisonous lifestyle. Most of what we consume is laden with toxic ingredients and chemicals, yet we choose to stay ignorant of this in pursuit of short term gratification. The subjects in the series are all using items or products of convenience, and are unaware that they are releasing the toxins from their bodies. In this image the subject is driving a car, and the green condensation on the window represents her breathing out the toxic fumes. Artist: Rebecca Kammer Title: Disconnection #9 Medium: Archival Inkjet Print Size: 40x60cm Art description This piece is part of a series which looks at the way we as humans are becoming increasingly disconnected from our natural environment, through urbanisation and ignorant exploitation. The figure walks lost through a forest, unable to see or feel anything, wrapped in newspaper - a product we exploit that very environment to create. To connect with the landscape again the figure must shed the wrapping, which will eventually breakdown and become one with the land. Artist: JurajCuchor Title: "Solitude in Blue" Medium: Mixed Size: 63cm x 63cm x 7cm Art description Mixed oil and acrylic painting of part of a body featuring the hands which are illuminated with blue EL wire set into Perspex. I have always been fascinated by people and especially their bodies and so in my paintings I relish the opportunity to explore the characteristics of bodies & auras asking myself 'do I really know them or is it just my impressions of them'? How I see them is influenced not only by their appearance but also by my perception of their inner selves. Although my works have figurative elements they stop outside the world of representation. Artist bio was born in Slovakia where I studied Ceramics & Stone Restoration and later established my own pottery which I ran for 15 years before migrating to Australia in 2006 (spending 2005 in London). I am in my final year of studying for a Bachelor of Visual Art degree at the University of South Australia, majoring in Painting & Sculpture. I have received Merit Awards for my first two years.

51. Artist: Elizabeth Christie Title: Scruffy at the Beach Medium: Oil Paint on MDF Size: 900x600x3.0 Art description I painted this work, in March this year. It was a photograph i took of my dog down at the beach earlier in the year which i loved and would work well as a painting. I used Water mixable oils and applied them with a palette knife to the mdf board in a very thick, gestural way. Artist bio My name is Liz, I am eighteen years old, and currently studying visual arts at UniSA where i plan to specialise in painting next semester when we start our specialisation. I also work part time at Target, which i love. With the money i earn form work, i try to save some, spend some on social activities and the rest helps me to purchase all the paints and other materials needed for uni - i'm finding oil paint very expensive!!. I have always loved art, especially painting. In high school I studyed Art, Carft and Design-the three art subjects which were offered until year twelve when i could only do Visual Arts Studies because of restricted subjects. I achieved a 20/20 for my practical work in year twelve, and a 17/20 overall. My second year twelve major (a large oil painting of the slums in buenosaires) was selected to be apart of the SACE art show, which made me very proud! I also won the school art prize for 'excellence' in 2009 (year twelve). Whilst at the moment, i am happy living the 'poor uni student life', i hope to travel the world when i finish studying. I particularly love London and Paris and can not wait to travel there. I love life and try to live it to the full, which i think comes through in some of my works which could be seen as 'happy snaps'. At the moment i am working on a series of paintings for uni, based on 'life' but more specifically, the 'teenaged life'. This is made up of a range of images that portray life, and memories.

Artist: Thomas Buchanan Title: Landscape Lost II Medium: Oil on canvas Size: 115 x 90 cm Art description My Paintings explores the built environment and questions our (my) own conquering consumption of the world. They are multilayered depiction of a cities and landscapes, which incorporates residual memories of archaeological history of place. They explore the strange beauty and sense of alienation which comes from these urban environments. Leading to questions of how we, as humans, inhabit the infinite, built landscape and how I place myself in this ever changing world. Tom Buchanan 2011 Artist bio Tom Buchanan is an Australian painter residing in Adelaide, South Australia. In 2010 Buchanan graduated from the South Australian School of Art, University of South Australia, with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honors) degree, specializing in Painting. Currently Buchanan is developing new works in oils and producing moving images. His practice is based in Adelaide with a strong influence of the built environment. This year Buchanan has been engaging audiences in new dynamic works in oil's, charcoal, moving images films and community art projects. Buchanan has been exhibited at a number of galleries within Australia. Exhibiting consistently throughout Adelaide and has exhibited in Melbourne, Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania, N.S.W and Darwin. He has lectured drawing workshops in SA and VIC 2005 -'10. In 2002 he was the winning painting for the 'Eden Valley Riesling' label for Peter Lehmann wines 2002. In 2007 Buchanan was a finalist for the Metro 5 gallery painting award, The Advertiser 2007 Contemporary Art Awards and The Stan + Maureen Duke Art Prize QLD in the Gold Coast Art Gallery.
