My father grew up in a suburb of Salamanca, Spain, where he attended Agustinos High School, which he had to walk to from his home even though it was far. He spent much of his childhood outside playing with friends rather than doing homework or activities, often riding his bike in the afternoons and worrying his grandparents who had to search the streets to find him. My father also played soccer for the local team San Agustin FC. The document reflects on how childhood was generally more calm and less structured when my father was young compared to modern times.
