Language Difference

carried through spoken and written
works.
This is obvious barrier when there is no
common vehicle to convey ideas and
feelings.
The problem is most serious in culturally
diversified organizations.

Difference in interpretation

attribute different meaning to the same
word and vice versa
The meaning of words are not in words,
they are in us: each words has both
denotation and connotation meaning.
Sometimes these meanings can
haphazardly differ

are different their literal interpretations. Ex; include slang
jargons and euphemisms.
Slang is an expression, often short lived that is identified with
a specific group of people
Jargon is a technical terminology is used within a specialized
group

perception of what he/she reads/hears.
Neutral words intended to produce a positive
meaning may convey the opposite as they
reach the receiver & vice versa causing
misunderstanding and misperception.

pay, seniority, background etc

and values, we take it favorably.
