women to become free from the control

her own conditions.
You can tell the condition of a nation by looking at the status
of its women.
- Jawaharlal Nehru

25. SUGGESTIONS
DWCRA scheme has to be implemented by the government in a proper way so that it can
bring awareness among women in order to make use of it effectively which ultimately
contributes to economic development of the society.
Government should also provide information about the DWCRA Schemes and programs
through mobile SMS.
Priority should be given to the products of DWCRA units, while inviting tenders by the
government and other local authorities for the supply of such items, especially during
festive occasions to ensure ready marketability for their products.
Uneducated women are to be covered under adult education programs. Besides teaching,
we need to motivate the uneducated women through mass media highlighting success
stories to learn and become at least functionally literate.
Co-operative marketing strategies should be evolved among various DWCRA units to
minimize the cost of marketing and to avoid the difficulties accounted with the door-to-
door sales services.
26. CONCLUSION
Poverty and Unemployment are the two basic economic evils
affecting millions of people in India.
Development is the only way that will transform the state of
poverty to prosperity, and backwardness to progress.
Women and Child Development is a process of accomplishing
change in the socio-economic and cultural changes in the
population.
It is a Strategy of allowing and encouraging the people to meet
their own aspirations.
The DWCRA program in Vijayawada is been implementing
not only for the Welfare but also to bring a Quality life of
Women and Children.
