• A brand is the impression or image of a product or
  service that remains in someone’s mind.

• A brand represents the traits and features both tangible
  and intangible that make a product unique.

• In the same way, when starting out in the corporate
  world, one should exhibit traits or characteristics that will
  set them apart from all other individuals.
• Learning is a never ending process. This process is
  made easier and faster when there is a desire or
  eagerness to learn how things ought to be done.

• This desire to learn must also be accompanied by an
  open mind. The individual must show openness towards
  the work culture, values and practices in their new
  environment.
• Communication is a key tool in almost every setting of
  life, therefore, good and effective communication skills
  are essential in the corporate world today.

• English is a universal language, the ability to speak it and
  write fluently is important.

• We’re living in a multi-lingual world even
  businesswise, so it would be wise to take on a second or
  even a third language.
• Obstacles and other unforeseen events are almost
  always inevitable.

• Therefore, when faced with such situations, one should
  be able to adjust quickly to the arisen situation.

• The ability to adapt also involves coming up with
  alternative solutions or methods of getting things done.
• It’s often been said that no man is an island and this also
  applies in the corporate world.

• Therefore, it is vital to build strong and positive
  relationships not only within but also outside the
  company.
• There is no “I” in the word “TEAM”

• In organizational or group setting, people do not always
  agree on everything, so to get ahead you must
  sometimes put aside your personal preferences and go
  with what is more beneficial to everyone.

• Every place or institution has its own rules and
  regulations or code of conduct, following these rules is
  another way of being a team player.
• Your biggest competition is yourself and a little
  competition is always healthy.

• Everyday or with every task assigned, strive to make it
  better than the previous one.

• Competing with yourself always pushes you to work
  harder.
• In all aspects of life, not just in the business setting, do
  not always wait for opportunities to come knocking at
  your door.

• Be a self starter and create the opportunities yourself.

• Opportunities do not come once in a life time, we are
  always surrounded by them, we just need to seize them.
Master transferable skills such as goal setting, effective
       communication, and time management
