  9. Thermuthis Pharaoh's daughter discovered the baby floating in the river. She took pity on the baby, whom she guessed was an Israelite - she knew the baby would certainly be killed if he was discovered. As she had no children of her own, she decided to bring the baby up herself. She called him Moses.
