Jennine Arena Jennine Arena is the president is the president of Ablaze Communications, a marketing and graphic design firm that aims for the response: “wow, tell me more” or better yet “sign me up”. Jennine has been with the HBA for over a year and volunteers as the Print Collateral Chairperson for the Metro Chapter, as well as assisting the HBA’s Global Marketing team. Volunteer Recognition Reception   October 14, 2009 Michele Baer Michele Baer is founder and president of Baer Consulting Inc., a boutique healthcare marketing and communications firm. Michele is Public Relations Chair and Social Media Co-Chair for HBA Metro, and serves as Social Media Chair for the HBA global organization. She also was Public Relations Chair for 2009’s Woman of the Year event. Sabine Aslan Sabine is a Marketing Consultant at Empowered Medical Media, a firm that provides marketing services to physicians. Sabine co-chairs the Tomorrow’s Executives New York Affinity Group.  She is also active on the Connections Committee and the Volunteer Committee, where she serves as connector to the Market Research Committee. Bhanu Bahl A Biomedical Informatics professional working at Sanofi Aventis as a Business Project Manager in Clinical Data Management.  Involved in projects for developing and deploying applications for clinical trials data capture, imaging, retrieval and reporting. Volunteered this year as a Mentor at HBA Metro chapter
Volunteer Recognition Reception   October 14, 2009 Karen Berg Karen is Owner and CEO of CommCore Strategies, a global communications consulting and training firm. Karen Berg is a best-selling, award-winning author, Persuasion, Communication Skills and Business Networking Coach with 25 years of industry experience. Karen has assisted the HBA over the past 15 years with leadership, persuasion, and business networking skills. Angela Brzyski Angela Brzyski, R.Ph., is the VP of Business Development for Practice Therapeutics and has over 18 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She is the Metro Director-at-Large for the Volunteer Committee. Linda Calandra Linda Calandra is currently Director, WW Commercial Development, Primary Care for Pfizer Inc. She has over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, and has been an active member of the HBA Metro Chapter, recently with the Executive Women Outreach Committee and as Strategy Chair.
Shellie Caplan Shellie is currently the President of Caplan Associates, a Healthcare executive Search firm and has been a member of HBA for 22 years. Shellie was on the original HBA Board for many years and a Board Member for the Metro Chapter up until this year.  She is currently the Plenary C-Chair for this year’s HBA Leadership Conference and the Chair of the “Tune into Your Potential” for the Leadership Conference responsible for overseeing the Mentoring Circle Leaders event and the Coaching segments. Volunteer Recognition Reception   October 14, 2009 Lisa Courtade Lisa Courtade currently volunteers with the HBA as the co-chair for the EDGE Study and as a member of the EWB committee for the Metro Chapter. Lisa has served as Global Co-Director of Career Development and as Global Research Director. She heads a market research team responsible for evaluating and directing the clinical and commercial development of early stage compounds at Merck.  Charelle Cusberth Charelle Cusberth Charelle is currently President, CRC Communications, LLC; her clients include specialty and consumer packaged goods organizations. She is responsible for coordinating marketing, sales promotion and communication initiatives for markets in the metropolitan area. Charelle currently serves as Director, HBA Metro Chapter Evening Programs; planning and executing 4 events annually.
Volunteer Recognition Reception   October 14, 2009 Arnell Davis Arnell Davis is Regional Area Director Marketing & Sales – Site Support for Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. Arnell is currently the Regional Area Director of Marketing & Sales, Site Services and is responsible for the IM Infrastructure Service Delivery and serves as the IM Project Management Officer. Arnell is currently serving as the Director-at-Large for the HBA Metro Chapter and was formerly the co-chair for their Women in Healthcare IT Affinity. Lauren Diamond Lauren Diamond is a Senior Clinical Account Executive at Joule, she is responsible for the marketing and selling of recruitment services to organizations within the pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology industries. Lauren is a member of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association, Regulatory Affairs Professional Society and Society of Clinical Research Associates.  In addition, she is an active volunteer for the HBA serving as the committee chair on the NJ and NY Chapters of the Tomorrow’s Executives Affinity Group.  Tracy Donato Tracy Donato is an Account Executive at the Matlen Silver Group. Tracy is responsible for providing services and managing Fortune 500 clients in the Insurance, Financial and Life Sciences industry. Tracy also joined the HBA Women in Healthcare Information Technology Affinity Group Committee in 2009.  Kathleen Fitzpatrick Kathy joined Johnson & Johnson over twenty years ago and has held financial and human resource leadership positions within Corporate, Consumer, Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Operating Groups.  Kathy is active as a member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountant’s Board of Regents, Finance and Audit Committee member and Master Mentor for the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association and a volunteer for South Brunswick’s Project Graduation.
Volunteer Recognition Reception   October 14, 2009 Not Available Meghan Gebhardt Megan works for Pfizer, Inc.'s Global Engineering Group, specializing in performance management and communications. Prior to joining Pfizer, she spent 8 years in engineering and construction management consulting in various roles. She is a member of the HBA CONNECTIONS Committee, providing input for planning and leading some of the chapter's networking events. Mona Kay Gorman Mona Kay is a sales trainer for the UroInjectables Division of Sanofi-Aventis.  Mona Kay is new to the HBA (April 2009).She is currently part of the "Buddies" volunteer program, which assists new members with becoming acquainted with the HBA.  She also serves as the back-up Volunteer-Connector for the marketing committee where she listens for opportunities to match the right volunteer to the right task at hand.  Mona Kay is also an integral part of the team that is working to integrate Social Networking into the HBA Metro Group. Kristen Gebert Kirsten Gebert has worked in Commercial Operations in the Pharmaceutical industry for 20 years. In her last position she built and led the Finance and Distribution organization for Vernalis Pharmaceuticals Inc, which was later acquired by Ipsen. Kirsten has been a member of the HBA for over 6 years and has volunteered in numerous capacities. She is currently part of the HBA Women in Finance Affinity Group.  She recommends the HBA to all her colleagues for the networking and professional development benefits, but also from the positive energy and support she gives and receives from her fellow HBA members.
Volunteer Recognition Reception   October 14, 2009 Sue Gibson Sue has been with WebMD for 10 years, the past 3 years as Executive Director and Team Lead developing online professional and consumer solutions for the pharma industry Has been a member of HBA since 1998.  Active in the past year with 4 committees (EWB, marketing, volunteer, membership) – and is a connector for the marketing & EWB committees. Linda Glodek I am Linda Glodek, a Manager of Finance Training, Policies and Procedures working for sanofi-aventis and I have been an HBA Member since 2007.  As an HBA Member I have attended 2 Leadership Conferences and numerous evening seminars.  In addition, I participated in the Metro Chapter's Mentoring Pilot Program last year and truly value the experience I gained as well as the connections I have made.  This year I wanted to participate more with the HBA and signed up to become a volunteer.  I volunteer my time on the Membership Committee under the direction of Terry Thomas.  The HBA is an incredible organization and I look forward to connecting to, learning from, and supporting fellow members. Vicki Guida Vicki Guida is Senior Account Manager at Atlas Data Systems, a technology and business solutions company, where she is involved in business development and management of existing clients.  Vicki is new to the HBA and has helped the marketing committee with reviewing events.  Barbara Haimowitz Barbara is responsible for Market Research and Inflammation Marketing at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Barbara has been a member of the HBA Metro Chapter Board for almost five years, as Director-At-Large, Research from 2005-2006. She is now in her second term as Director-At-Large, Marketing & PR. She has grown and developed an HBA Metro Chapter Marketing committee, now at over 10 members. Barbara was also the Marketing lead for the 2009 HBA Woman of the Year Luncheon.
Volunteer Recognition Reception   October 14, 2009 Virginia Herndon Virginia Herndon is a Business and Executive Coach with over 15 years experience consulting for investors, companies and start-ups in the biopharmaceutical industry. She specializes in Succession Planning, Career Transition, "Managing Up", Leadership Presence, Strategic Thinking and Negotiation. Her clients appreciate her ability to combine science and business experience with leadership development skills. Julie Kampf Julie Kampf, President and CEO of both JBK Associates, and Career Central, retained executive search and organizational/leadership development firms respectively, has been on the HBA Metro Chapter Board for six years and is the current President of the Chapter.  She has held roles in the Metro chapter such as Director of Evening Programs, and Management Development.  In addition, she has contributed her time for several years on the WOTY committee chairing the Rising Stars, and has also led several panel discussions and workshops for the annual Leadership Conference. Jennie Coughlin Joshi Jennie Coughlin Joshi has a passion for people development and is currently a Senior Trainer for Oncology at Eisai Pharmaceuticals.  Jennie has held many diverse roles throughout her career in the pharmaceutical industry including: marketing, sales representative, and district sales manager.  Jennie currently resides in Morristown, NJ with her husband, Manny.   Chris Kaufman Chris Kaufman has held multiple positions in sales, marketing research, agency management, and marketing over her many years in the industry. She has a BA in biology from Lafayette College and an MBA from Duke University Fuqua Business School. She most recently volunteered as a Mentor in the Metro pilot program in 2008, and as a Master Mentor for the new Mentors in the 2009 program. She’s been a member of HBA on and off for many years.
Volunteer Recognition Reception   October 14, 2009 Nancy Larsen Nancy Larsen is President of PROmedica Communications, Inc., a privately owned medical communications company in NYC. Nancy’s career in healthcare spans over 30 years.  She was accomplished professional in medical sales, marketing and advertising. Ms. Larsen is a two time past president of the HBA. She continues her close relationship with HBA by working as a volunteer on several committees and is mentor to the San Antonio chapter.  Betsy Lane Betsy Lane is the Vice President for the Marketing Publicis Strategic Solutions Group. Betsy leads marketing and corporate communications efforts for Publicis Strategic Solutions Group (PSSG).. Betsy is a long-term HBA member with more than 20 years experience in the biopharma industry working both on the pharma and service sides of the business. Julie Kelly Julie Kelly is the Vice President, Business Development, for inVentiv Selling Solutions. She joined the HBA in 2002 and became actively involved in the Metro Chapter as a volunteer in 2005. Julie was appointed to the Board in 2006 as the Co Director of Evening Programs, and in 2008, she was elected Vice President, Metro Chapter. Julie now serves as President Elect, Metro Chapter and continues to be a company advocate for HBA. Jennifer Leonard Jennifer Leonard is the president of ImpactHR, a strategic human resources consultancy that understands the goals of business and how they relate to the mindsets and motivations of the workforce. Jennifer is an active mentor in the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), and the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
Volunteer Recognition Reception   October 14, 2009 Susan Levy-Cantor Susan Levy-Cantor is currently Senior Director, Global New Ventures and Strategic Commercial Development for Schering-Plough Consumer HealthCare. Susan serves as Director, CONNECTIONS for the Metro Chapter of HBA.  CONNECTIONS programs, including the DineAround series and large annual event, provide networking skills and opportunities for HBA members. Daisy Lindo Daisy Lindo is currently a Quality  Assurance professional at Wyeth with 12 years of excellent and solid experience in GMP, compliance, training, auditing, curriculum development and marketing knowledge.  Daisy joined HBA in June 2009. She is currently in the Volunteer Committee and Tomorrow’s Executive Affinity Group. Jean Lipscomb Jean brings 20 years of experience in Healthcare to her role of Business Development  and Healthcare Research consulting. She has held positions in Market Research Client Development and Services, Marketing, Advertising, Specialty Sales, Hospital Sales, and Training Management.  Jean was a 2007/2008 mentor for the Mid-Atlantic chapter and has been a volunteer for the Metro and Philly chapter's events over the past several years. Sonya Littlejohn Sonya Littlejohn is a clinical research professional with over ten years experience in the pharmaceutical industry.  She currently manages clinical device trials for Ethicon, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson Company.  Prior to joining Ethicon, Sonya spent almost 9 years with GlaxoSmithKline managing clinical trials for their Consumer Division.  Sonya is a volunteer on the Marketing Committee where she serves as the E-blast Coordinator.

She was also a past planning member of CONNECTIONS. Sheryl is an Associate Director, Safety Risk Management at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.  Marybeth Lynch Marybeth Lynch brings several years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry to Campbell Alliance.  As a Senior Practice Executive in the Clinical Development practice, Ms. Lynch uses her strong background in organizational strategy, program and portfolio planning, operations management, and process design to help clients across the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.  Ms. Lynch is also actively involved as a mentor in the HBA Metro Chapter’s Mentoring Program. Mary Martin Roberts Mary Martin Roberts, MPH With over 10 years of experience in both the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, Mary’s expertise is in patient and provider reimbursement strategy development.  She has strong operations and strategic management experience in multiple biotech product launches. Mary is the Director of Reimbursement Support Services at Eisai, Inc. In this role she is responsible for the management oversight and direct management of Eisai’s Patient Assistance Programs, Reimbursement Hotline Support Programs, Drug Replacement Programs, Institutional Patient Assistance Programs, and Co-Pay Support Programs.   Camille Macchio Camille Macchio is the owner of Realistic Alternatives, LLC, a business and career transition organization dedicated to the support of senior leaders in high performance organizations to develop and retain top talent.

Murphy is the CEO/President of PeopleAreKey, Inc., a recruiting, talent management, and organizational effectiveness consulting firm.  Laurie has been an HBA Member since 1998, and has actively volunteered on Committees: 2009: Chair of the Metro Chapter’s Executive Women’s Breakfast Series 2008:  Mentor  for  HBA Metro Chapter’s Mentoring Program  Kathleen Milligan Kathleen Milligan is Senior Director, Plavix global marketing and life cycle management, for Bristol- Myers Squibb. Kathleen has over 20 years experience in marketing, sales and marketing research with a variety of companies and across a wide range of therapeutic categories. Kathleen has been active in the HBA for the last 10 years, and has served on the board and executive committee for both global HBA and Metro. She is currently President of the Metro chapter.  Suzanne Matteson Suzanne founded Matteson Consulting Group in 1995, a company dedicated to enhancing an organization’s capability to achieve its milestones by accelerating individual and team performance. She has been a member of the HBA since 2003, co-founded the first Career Skills Affinity Group and currently serves as an Executive Coach to the Metro Mentoring Program  Debbie Pavlo Debbie is a T raining Consultant for the Pharmaceutical Companies.
Volunteer Recognition Reception   October 14, 2009 Erica Peitler Erica Peitler is a Leadership Performance Coach who works with CEO's and High Potential Executives.  Having enjoyed a successful 20 year career where she had opportunities to run a $400M Pharmaceutical Division and $100M Consumer Care Division for a large Global Healthcare company, at 42 she decided to write her first book (Open Up and Say aaah! which is available on Amazon.com) and launch her own Leadership Coaching and Consulting firm (www.ericapeitler.com).  Donna Ramer Donna K. Ramer is an award-winning, 30-year public relations and corporate communications veteran who specializes in message development, crisis management, media strategy, communications training and builds relationships between third-party groups and industry.  Donna was a three-term member of the HBA board. She also assumed the role of treasurer for the Metro Chapter, to complete the term of office of Beth Everett. Saunjah Powell-Pointer  Saunjah has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 9.5 years in technical project management, strategic sourcing/procurement, and diversity and inclusion strategies for Schering-Plough Corporation.  Saunjah serves on the Membership and Marketing committees for the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association’s – Metro Chapter.  As a member of the Membership committee, she has participated in membership renewal efforts and strategy development.  As a Marketing committee member, she has conducted key interviews in support of an article designed to raise awareness of the 2008 pilot mentoring program. Pat Pesanello Pat Pesanello is a Strategic Advisory Director at Skila which specializes in knowledge solutions for life sciences. With over 30 years of industry experience, Pat offers operational ‘know how’ to strategic initiatives, process workflows and team collaboration. An active HBA member, she recently worked on the Rising Star Expansion Task Force. Her home state is NJ and she is the proud parent of four young adults.
Volunteer Recognition Reception   October 14, 2009 Need Picture Kim Rowe Kim is the founding partner of Agentive Sales and Marketing Solutions. At Agentive she works with corporate clients to improve the performance of their sales, management and marketing teams through assessment, training, coaching and strategic assignment. She is a board member of the Healthcare Business Women’s Association and an active ember of the American Society for Training and Development. Sheri Rosenblatt Sheri is Executive Vice President, Managing Director at DraftFCB Healthcare. Sheri has an extensive and unique blend of professional coronary care nursing, cardiovascular clinical research experience, and medical marketing client and agency expertise. Presently, Sheri is Director of Membership for the HBA Metro Chapter. Laura Perry Laura is the Sr. Director of Client Services for HealthBridge, a sampling logistics and marketing solutions provider, located in Lincoln Park NJ.  She has oversight for all of the client engagements to ensure outstanding service.  She has spent her entire career in the pharmaceutical industry on both the manufacturer as well as the supplier side in a variety of positions.  She has been an active member of HBA for over 7 years, but initially became involved in the mid-1980’s.  Laura is currently on the mentoring team.
Volunteer Recognition Reception   October 14, 2009 Liz Stueck Liz Stueck is an independent medical education consultant with a passion for continuous quality improvement. She believes in the power of actively engaging both faculty and learners in the education process and in the ability of CME to improve health outcomes. Liz is Director-at-Large, Mentoring, on the Metro Chapter Board and chairs the 2009 Mentoring Program Committee. She lives in Brookside (Mendham Township), New Jersey, with her husband, Mike Weatheread, and their rescue dog, Brandy. Linda Sisson Linda Sisson, Global Program Team Director, Xolair - Novartis Works in the Respiratory Development Franchise, has strategic and operational responsibilities for on-going Development activities for Xolair.  Lisa is a volunteer on the Marketing Committee at the HBA, and have helped with various projects as well as worked as a reported on events.  Previously, she was the co-chair for the Marketing Affinity Group.  Cheryl  Siddell Currently, Cheryl serves on the HBA Metro Chapter Mentoring Program Committee.  In addition, Cheryl is currently the Co-Chair of the HBA Ongoing Research Sub-Team. In my position as the Director of Market Research for Meda Pharmaceuticals Inc., Cheryl develops and implements market research plans to support marketing and product life cycle strategies.  Cheryl’s employer, Meda Pharmaceuticals Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of Meda AB. Beth Schlener Beth Schlener is VP of Strategic Accounts for Health Market Science.  She has been a member of the HBA, Greater Philadelphia and Metro divisions, for five years.  Beth is actively involved with the Volunteer Committee.
Volunteer Recognition Reception   October 14, 2009 Pending Picture Laura Trizzino Laura has been employed at Bristol Myers Squibb for almost 10 years as a Project Manager in Portfolio and Demand Forecasting.  She has been involved in HBA for three years and has enjoyed networking and learning at various functions throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  She signed up to volunteer this year and looks forward to getting involved in this area of HBA. Terry Beebe Thomas Creative, high-energy, marketing, brand management, business development professional with a passion for strategic and tactical excellence. Terry is with P.S.K.W. & Associates, Inc. a marketing services company devoted to building brands and creating effective and innovative compliance and adherence programs with the next generation of loyalty cards, LoyaltyRx. Liz White Liz White is a Senior Manager, Payer Marketing, Employers, at sanofi-aventis.  She spends her work days focusing on the Employer marketplace, endeavoring to understand Employers' perspectives on health care, representing their voice to her company, and supporting a team of successful Employer National Account Managers. She is active in HBA and sanofi-aventis WISE (Women Inspiring sanofi-aventis Excellence). Joan Young Joan Young hasworked at sanofi-aventis for the past 19 years and is currently Head of Finance and Support for Commercial External Partnerships, Industrial Affairs which is responsible for Contract Manufacturing and API sales as well as US external manufacturing.  Joan has been active in launching a pilot mentoring program within sanofi-aventis WISE organization (Woman Inspiring Sanofi-aventis Excellence) and also actively participating in the HBA mentoring program.

Jennine Arena Jennine Arena is the president is the president of Ablaze Communications, a marketing and graphic design firm that aims for the response: “wow, tell me more” or better yet “sign me up”. Jennine has been with the HBA for over a year and volunteers as the Print Collateral Chairperson for the Metro Chapter, as well as assisting the HBA’s Global Marketing team. Volunteer Recognition Reception October 14, 2009 Michele Baer Michele Baer is founder and president of Baer Consulting Inc., a boutique healthcare marketing and communications firm. Michele is Public Relations Chair and Social Media Co-Chair for HBA Metro, and serves as Social Media Chair for the HBA global organization. She also was Public Relations Chair for 2009’s Woman of the Year event. Sabine Aslan Sabine is a Marketing Consultant at Empowered Medical Media, a firm that provides marketing services to physicians. Sabine co-chairs the Tomorrow’s Executives New York Affinity Group. She is also active on the Connections Committee and the Volunteer Committee, where she serves as connector to the Market Research Committee. Bhanu Bahl A Biomedical Informatics professional working at Sanofi Aventis as a Business Project Manager in Clinical Data Management. Involved in projects for developing and deploying applications for clinical trials data capture, imaging, retrieval and reporting. Volunteered this year as a Mentor at HBA Metro chapter
  • 4. Volunteer Recognition Reception October 14, 2009 Karen Berg Karen is Owner and CEO of CommCore Strategies, a global communications consulting and training firm. Karen Berg is a best-selling, award-winning author, Persuasion, Communication Skills and Business Networking Coach with 25 years of industry experience. Karen has assisted the HBA over the past 15 years with leadership, persuasion, and business networking skills. Angela Brzyski Angela Brzyski, R.Ph., is the VP of Business Development for Practice Therapeutics and has over 18 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She is the Metro Director-at-Large for the Volunteer Committee. Linda Calandra Linda Calandra is currently Director, WW Commercial Development, Primary Care for Pfizer Inc. She has over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, and has been an active member of the HBA Metro Chapter, recently with the Executive Women Outreach Committee and as Strategy Chair.
  • 5. Shellie Caplan Shellie is currently the President of Caplan Associates, a Healthcare executive Search firm and has been a member of HBA for 22 years. Shellie was on the original HBA Board for many years and a Board Member for the Metro Chapter up until this year. She is currently the Plenary C-Chair for this year’s HBA Leadership Conference and the Chair of the “Tune into Your Potential” for the Leadership Conference responsible for overseeing the Mentoring Circle Leaders event and the Coaching segments. Volunteer Recognition Reception October 14, 2009 Lisa Courtade Lisa Courtade currently volunteers with the HBA as the co-chair for the EDGE Study and as a member of the EWB committee for the Metro Chapter. Lisa has served as Global Co-Director of Career Development and as Global Research Director. She heads a market research team responsible for evaluating and directing the clinical and commercial development of early stage compounds at Merck. Charelle Cusberth Charelle Cusberth Charelle is currently President, CRC Communications, LLC; her clients include specialty and consumer packaged goods organizations. She is responsible for coordinating marketing, sales promotion and communication initiatives for markets in the metropolitan area. Charelle currently serves as Director, HBA Metro Chapter Evening Programs; planning and executing 4 events annually.
  • 6. Volunteer Recognition Reception October 14, 2009 Arnell Davis Arnell Davis is Regional Area Director Marketing & Sales – Site Support for Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. Arnell is currently the Regional Area Director of Marketing & Sales, Site Services and is responsible for the IM Infrastructure Service Delivery and serves as the IM Project Management Officer. Arnell is currently serving as the Director-at-Large for the HBA Metro Chapter and was formerly the co-chair for their Women in Healthcare IT Affinity. Lauren Diamond Lauren Diamond is a Senior Clinical Account Executive at Joule, she is responsible for the marketing and selling of recruitment services to organizations within the pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology industries. Lauren is a member of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association, Regulatory Affairs Professional Society and Society of Clinical Research Associates. In addition, she is an active volunteer for the HBA serving as the committee chair on the NJ and NY Chapters of the Tomorrow’s Executives Affinity Group. Tracy Donato Tracy Donato is an Account Executive at the Matlen Silver Group. Tracy is responsible for providing services and managing Fortune 500 clients in the Insurance, Financial and Life Sciences industry. Tracy also joined the HBA Women in Healthcare Information Technology Affinity Group Committee in 2009. Kathleen Fitzpatrick Kathy joined Johnson & Johnson over twenty years ago and has held financial and human resource leadership positions within Corporate, Consumer, Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Operating Groups. Kathy is active as a member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountant’s Board of Regents, Finance and Audit Committee member and Master Mentor for the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association and a volunteer for South Brunswick’s Project Graduation.

Volunteer Recognition Reception October 14, 2009 Not Available Meghan Gebhardt Megan works for Pfizer, Inc.'s Global Engineering Group, specializing in performance management and communications. Prior to joining Pfizer, she spent 8 years in engineering and construction management consulting in various roles. She is a member of the HBA CONNECTIONS Committee, providing input for planning and leading some of the chapter's networking events. Mona Kay Gorman Mona Kay is a sales trainer for the UroInjectables Division of Sanofi-Aventis. Mona Kay is new to the HBA (April 2009).She is currently part of the "Buddies" volunteer program, which assists new members with becoming acquainted with the HBA. She also serves as the back-up Volunteer-Connector for the marketing committee where she listens for opportunities to match the right volunteer to the right task at hand. Mona Kay is also an integral part of the team that is working to integrate Social Networking into the HBA Metro Group. Kristen Gebert Kirsten Gebert has worked in Commercial Operations in the Pharmaceutical industry for 20 years. In her last position she built and led the Finance and Distribution organization for Vernalis Pharmaceuticals Inc, which was later acquired by Ipsen. Kirsten has been a member of the HBA for over 6 years and has volunteered in numerous capacities. She is currently part of the HBA Women in Finance Affinity Group. She recommends the HBA to all her colleagues for the networking and professional development benefits, but also from the positive energy and support she gives and receives from her fellow HBA members.

Volunteer Recognition Reception October 14, 2009 Sue Gibson Sue has been with WebMD for 10 years, the past 3 years as Executive Director and Team Lead developing online professional and consumer solutions for the pharma industry Has been a member of HBA since 1998. Active in the past year with 4 committees (EWB, marketing, volunteer, membership) – and is a connector for the marketing & EWB committees. Linda Glodek I am Linda Glodek, a Manager of Finance Training, Policies and Procedures working for sanofi-aventis and I have been an HBA Member since 2007. As an HBA Member I have attended 2 Leadership Conferences and numerous evening seminars. In addition, I participated in the Metro Chapter's Mentoring Pilot Program last year and truly value the experience I gained as well as the connections I have made. This year I wanted to participate more with the HBA and signed up to become a volunteer. I volunteer my time on the Membership Committee under the direction of Terry Thomas. The HBA is an incredible organization and I look forward to connecting to, learning from, and supporting fellow members. Vicki Guida Vicki Guida is Senior Account Manager at Atlas Data Systems, a technology and business solutions company, where she is involved in business development and management of existing clients. Vicki is new to the HBA and has helped the marketing committee with reviewing events. Barbara Haimowitz Barbara is responsible for Market Research and Inflammation Marketing at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Barbara has been a member of the HBA Metro Chapter Board for almost five years, as Director-At-Large, Research from 2005-2006. She is now in her second term as Director-At-Large, Marketing & PR. She has grown and developed an HBA Metro Chapter Marketing committee, now at over 10 members. Barbara was also the Marketing lead for the 2009 HBA Woman of the Year Luncheon.

Volunteer Recognition Reception October 14, 2009 Virginia Herndon Virginia Herndon is a Business and Executive Coach with over 15 years experience consulting for investors, companies and start-ups in the biopharmaceutical industry. She specializes in Succession Planning, Career Transition, "Managing Up", Leadership Presence, Strategic Thinking and Negotiation. Her clients appreciate her ability to combine science and business experience with leadership development skills. Julie Kampf Julie Kampf, President and CEO of both JBK Associates, and Career Central, retained executive search and organizational/leadership development firms respectively, has been on the HBA Metro Chapter Board for six years and is the current President of the Chapter. She has held roles in the Metro chapter such as Director of Evening Programs, and Management Development. In addition, she has contributed her time for several years on the WOTY committee chairing the Rising Stars, and has also led several panel discussions and workshops for the annual Leadership Conference. Jennie Coughlin Joshi Jennie Coughlin Joshi has a passion for people development and is currently a Senior Trainer for Oncology at Eisai Pharmaceuticals. Jennie has held many diverse roles throughout her career in the pharmaceutical industry including: marketing, sales representative, and district sales manager. Jennie currently resides in Morristown, NJ with her husband, Manny. Chris Kaufman Chris Kaufman has held multiple positions in sales, marketing research, agency management, and marketing over her many years in the industry. She has a BA in biology from Lafayette College and an MBA from Duke University Fuqua Business School. She most recently volunteered as a Mentor in the Metro pilot program in 2008, and as a Master Mentor for the new Mentors in the 2009 program. She’s been a member of HBA on and off for many years.
  • 10. Volunteer Recognition Reception October 14, 2009 Nancy Larsen Nancy Larsen is President of PROmedica Communications, Inc., a privately owned medical communications company in NYC. Nancy’s career in healthcare spans over 30 years. She was accomplished professional in medical sales, marketing and advertising. Ms. Larsen is a two time past president of the HBA. She continues her close relationship with HBA by working as a volunteer on several committees and is mentor to the San Antonio chapter. Betsy Lane Betsy Lane is the Vice President for the Marketing Publicis Strategic Solutions Group. Betsy leads marketing and corporate communications efforts for Publicis Strategic Solutions Group (PSSG).. Betsy is a long-term HBA member with more than 20 years experience in the biopharma industry working both on the pharma and service sides of the business. Julie Kelly Julie Kelly is the Vice President, Business Development, for inVentiv Selling Solutions. She joined the HBA in 2002 and became actively involved in the Metro Chapter as a volunteer in 2005. Julie was appointed to the Board in 2006 as the Co Director of Evening Programs, and in 2008, she was elected Vice President, Metro Chapter. Julie now serves as President Elect, Metro Chapter and continues to be a company advocate for HBA. Jennifer Leonard Jennifer Leonard is the president of ImpactHR, a strategic human resources consultancy that understands the goals of business and how they relate to the mindsets and motivations of the workforce. Jennifer is an active mentor in the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), and the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

Volunteer Recognition Reception October 14, 2009 Susan Levy-Cantor Susan Levy-Cantor is currently Senior Director, Global New Ventures and Strategic Commercial Development for Schering-Plough Consumer HealthCare. Susan serves as Director, CONNECTIONS for the Metro Chapter of HBA. CONNECTIONS programs, including the DineAround series and large annual event, provide networking skills and opportunities for HBA members. Daisy Lindo Daisy Lindo is currently a Quality Assurance professional at Wyeth with 12 years of excellent and solid experience in GMP, compliance, training, auditing, curriculum development and marketing knowledge. Daisy joined HBA in June 2009. She is currently in the Volunteer Committee and Tomorrow’s Executive Affinity Group. Jean Lipscomb Jean brings 20 years of experience in Healthcare to her role of Business Development and Healthcare Research consulting. She has held positions in Market Research Client Development and Services, Marketing, Advertising, Specialty Sales, Hospital Sales, and Training Management. Jean was a 2007/2008 mentor for the Mid-Atlantic chapter and has been a volunteer for the Metro and Philly chapter's events over the past several years. Sonya Littlejohn Sonya Littlejohn is a clinical research professional with over ten years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She currently manages clinical device trials for Ethicon, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson Company. Prior to joining Ethicon, Sonya spent almost 9 years with GlaxoSmithKline managing clinical trials for their Consumer Division. Sonya is a volunteer on the Marketing Committee where she serves as the E-blast Coordinator.

She was also a past planning member of CONNECTIONS. Sheryl is an Associate Director, Safety Risk Management at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. Marybeth Lynch Marybeth Lynch brings several years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry to Campbell Alliance. As a Senior Practice Executive in the Clinical Development practice, Ms. Lynch uses her strong background in organizational strategy, program and portfolio planning, operations management, and process design to help clients across the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Ms. Lynch is also actively involved as a mentor in the HBA Metro Chapter’s Mentoring Program. Mary Martin Roberts Mary Martin Roberts, MPH With over 10 years of experience in both the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, Mary’s expertise is in patient and provider reimbursement strategy development. She has strong operations and strategic management experience in multiple biotech product launches. Mary is the Director of Reimbursement Support Services at Eisai, Inc. In this role she is responsible for the management oversight and direct management of Eisai’s Patient Assistance Programs, Reimbursement Hotline Support Programs, Drug Replacement Programs, Institutional Patient Assistance Programs, and Co-Pay Support Programs. Camille Macchio Camille Macchio is the owner of Realistic Alternatives, LLC, a business and career transition organization dedicated to the support of senior leaders in high performance organizations to develop and retain top talent.

Laurie has been an HBA Member since 1998, and has actively volunteered on Committees: 2009: Chair of the Metro Chapter’s Executive Women’s Breakfast Series 2008: Mentor for HBA Metro Chapter’s Mentoring Program Kathleen Milligan Kathleen Milligan is Senior Director, Plavix global marketing and life cycle management, for Bristol- Myers Squibb. Kathleen has over 20 years experience in marketing, sales and marketing research with a variety of companies and across a wide range of therapeutic categories. Kathleen has been active in the HBA for the last 10 years, and has served on the board and executive committee for both global HBA and Metro. She is currently President of the Metro chapter. Suzanne Matteson Suzanne founded Matteson Consulting Group in 1995, a company dedicated to enhancing an organization’s capability to achieve its milestones by accelerating individual and team performance. She has been a member of the HBA since 2003, co-founded the first Career Skills Affinity Group and currently serves as an Executive Coach to the Metro Mentoring Program Debbie Pavlo Debbie is a T raining Consultant for the Pharmaceutical Companies.

Having enjoyed a successful 20 year career where she had opportunities to run a $400M Pharmaceutical Division and $100M Consumer Care Division for a large Global Healthcare company, at 42 she decided to write her first book (Open Up and Say aaah! which is available on Amazon.com) and launch her own Leadership Coaching and Consulting firm (www.ericapeitler.com). Ramer is an award-winning, 30-year public relations and corporate communications veteran who specializes in message development, crisis management, media strategy, communications training and builds relationships between third-party groups and industry. Donna was a three-term member of the HBA board. She also assumed the role of treasurer for the Metro Chapter, to complete the term of office of Beth Everett. Saunjah Powell-Pointer Saunjah has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 9.5 years in technical project management, strategic sourcing/procurement, and diversity and inclusion strategies for Schering-Plough Corporation. Saunjah serves on the Membership and Marketing committees for the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association’s – Metro Chapter. As a member of the Membership committee, she has participated in membership renewal efforts and strategy development. As a Marketing committee member, she has conducted key interviews in support of an article designed to raise awareness of the 2008 pilot mentoring program. Pat Pesanello Pat Pesanello is a Strategic Advisory Director at Skila which specializes in knowledge solutions for life sciences. With over 30 years of industry experience, Pat offers operational ‘know how’ to strategic initiatives, process workflows and team collaboration. An active HBA member, she recently worked on the Rising Star Expansion Task Force. Her home state is NJ and she is the proud parent of four young adults.

At Agentive she works with corporate clients to improve the performance of their sales, management and marketing teams through assessment, training, coaching and strategic assignment. She is a board member of the Healthcare Business Women’s Association and an active ember of the American Society for Training and Development. Sheri Rosenblatt Sheri is Executive Vice President, Managing Director at DraftFCB Healthcare. Sheri has an extensive and unique blend of professional coronary care nursing, cardiovascular clinical research experience, and medical marketing client and agency expertise. Presently, Sheri is Director of Membership for the HBA Metro Chapter. Laura Perry Laura is the Sr. Director of Client Services for HealthBridge, a sampling logistics and marketing solutions provider, located in Lincoln Park NJ. She has oversight for all of the client engagements to ensure outstanding service. She has spent her entire career in the pharmaceutical industry on both the manufacturer as well as the supplier side in a variety of positions. She has been an active member of HBA for over 7 years, but initially became involved in the mid-1980’s. Laura is currently on the mentoring team.

She believes in the power of actively engaging both faculty and learners in the education process and in the ability of CME to improve health outcomes. Liz is Director-at-Large, Mentoring, on the Metro Chapter Board and chairs the 2009 Mentoring Program Committee. She lives in Brookside (Mendham Township), New Jersey, with her husband, Mike Weatheread, and their rescue dog, Brandy. Linda Sisson Linda Sisson, Global Program Team Director, Xolair - Novartis Works in the Respiratory Development Franchise, has strategic and operational responsibilities for on-going Development activities for Xolair. Lisa is a volunteer on the Marketing Committee at the HBA, and have helped with various projects as well as worked as a reported on events. Previously, she was the co-chair for the Marketing Affinity Group. Cheryl Siddell Currently, Cheryl serves on the HBA Metro Chapter Mentoring Program Committee. In addition, Cheryl is currently the Co-Chair of the HBA Ongoing Research Sub-Team. In my position as the Director of Market Research for Meda Pharmaceuticals Inc., Cheryl develops and implements market research plans to support marketing and product life cycle strategies. Cheryl’s employer, Meda Pharmaceuticals Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of Meda AB. Beth Schlener Beth Schlener is VP of Strategic Accounts for Health Market Science. She has been a member of the HBA, Greater Philadelphia and Metro divisions, for five years. Beth is actively involved with the Volunteer Committee.

She has been involved in HBA for three years and has enjoyed networking and learning at various functions throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She signed up to volunteer this year and looks forward to getting involved in this area of HBA. Terry Beebe Thomas Creative, high-energy, marketing, brand management, business development professional with a passion for strategic and tactical excellence. Terry is with P.S.K.W. & Associates, Inc. a marketing services company devoted to building brands and creating effective and innovative compliance and adherence programs with the next generation of loyalty cards, LoyaltyRx. Liz White Liz White is a Senior Manager, Payer Marketing, Employers, at sanofi-aventis. She spends her work days focusing on the Employer marketplace, endeavoring to understand Employers' perspectives on health care, representing their voice to her company, and supporting a team of successful Employer National Account Managers. She is active in HBA and sanofi-aventis WISE (Women Inspiring sanofi-aventis Excellence). Joan Young Joan Young hasworked at sanofi-aventis for the past 19 years and is currently Head of Finance and Support for Commercial External Partnerships, Industrial Affairs which is responsible for Contract Manufacturing and API sales as well as US external manufacturing. Joan has been active in launching a pilot mentoring program within sanofi-aventis WISE organization (Woman Inspiring Sanofi-aventis Excellence) and also actively participating in the HBA mentoring program.
